ماضی میں، میں نے اپنی پریس کانفرنس میں خبردار کیا تھا کہ مشیر وقت آنے پر بھاگ جائیں گے، مگر اس نظام کو درست کرنے کی مشکلات عوام کو برداشت کرنا پڑیں گی۔
آج پنجاب کی سیاست میں بھی یہی صورتحال دکھائی دے رہی ہے۔ وزیراعلیٰ صاحبہ کے اردگرد موجود وزراء نہ کسانوں کی آواز بننے دے رہے ہیں اور نہ ہی غریب عوام کے مسائل پر توجہ دینے دے رہے ہیں۔ ان کی ترجیحات عوامی مفادات کے بجائے اپنے ذاتی مفادات تک محدود نظر آتی ہیں۔
خدشہ یہی ہے کہ جب مشکل وقت آئے گا تو یہ وزراء بھی ساتھ چھوڑ جائیں گے، مگر اس کی قیمت ایک بار پھر عوام کو چکانا پڑے گی۔

لاہور کے علاقے مزنگ میں ایک طالبہ پر موٹرسائیکل سوار کا بہیمانہ تشدد، ناک کی ہڈی ٹوٹ گئی اور بیگ میں موجود لیپ ٹاپ بھی تباہ ہوگیا۔ اگر یہی واقعہ سندھ میں پیش آیا ہوتا تو ٹی وی اسکرینوں پر طوفان برپا ہوتا، صحافی تجزیے کرتے، دانشور لیکچر دیتے اور خود کو انقلابی کہنے والے سوشل میڈیا پر مہم چلا رہے ہوتے۔
مگر آج ایک طالبہ کے ساتھ یہ ظلم ہوا تو وہی آوازیں کہاں غائب ہیں؟ کیا خواتین کا تحفظ، انسانی حقوق اور انصاف صرف سندھ کے لیے ہی موضوعِ بحث ہیں؟ پنجاب حکومت جواب دے، ملزم کو گرفتار کرے اور متاثرہ طالبہ کو انصاف فراہم کرے۔ انسانی حقوق پر آواز اٹھانا صوبہ دیکھ کر نہیں، مظلوم دیکھ کر ہونا چاہیے۔

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Sunday that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi clearly knows what the PPP's and President Asif Ali Zardari's policy on the provinces is, and that this cannot be done without the President's signature.
He said the PPP's position is clear: the Constitution provides a procedure whereby, if a provincial assembly agrees, new provinces can be created. "The Pakistan Peoples Party believes that where consensus exists, if this is not a political gimmick, if there is no other motive behind it, then why are provinces not being created where consensus exists? For example, in Gilgit-Baltistan there is no confusion and no difference of opinion. There, not only is there mutual consent, there is consensus."
