Roe v. Wade is based on the 'right to privacy.' If the majority opinion by SCOTUS suggests that the constitution does not protect the right to privacy... that affects a WHOLE lot of other decisions. Buckle up - this is the beginning of a lot of potential ugliness. A thread.

Following up, this @washingtonpost coverage by @martyweilwapost @lizziejohnsonnn really doesn't capture it. Isn't the shocking thing that the two cars both ran the red light and ran over the same pedestrian in a crosswalk? That's not even here washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/…

Yesterday in DC two cars consecutively ran a fully red light at a major intersection, running over a ped (twice) and killing them. Both fled the scene.
