Just came across an app with in-app Apple Pay checkout. Not redirecting to safari outside the app and not standard IAP cause there was a separate button for for “subscribe through App Store”
Anyone have any idea how they are doing this. I imagine this has basically the benefits of app2web without the conversion impact?
P.s. I found this while testing this app on US storefront

spent most of last night and this morning rolling leaked keys from the Railway situation
whats everyone migrating to?
i migrated from Render to Railway a few years back due to stability issues so not too keen to go back
is migrating to AWS/GCP the only move now? sure i can ask AI to set everything up, but it still adds a heap of complexity especially with all the add-ons which is another issue in itself...
maybe i just never paid enough attention before but it feels like there is suddenly a huge influx of critical vulnerabilities?
did one of the frontier labs make a breakthrough?

3 thoughts from spending the last 4 months building in the consumer app space after having only built b2b software before
1/ compared to b2b, consumer is less logical on the product side but more logical on the distribution side
2/ the fact that there is a publicly searchable directory of every app with revenue estimates really boosts the amount but not necessarily quality of competition
3/ consumer subscription is closer to ecom than b2b saas in many ways
bonus: app store fees and payout cycles are absurd 15-30% with 1-2 month cycles vs ~5% for stripe
anyone getting more variability from app store review the past week or so
been getting the most random feedback on new submissions e.g. sudden problems with things that have not changed in over 10-20 submissions
idk if they just onboarded a huge new batch of reviewers or process change
if you regularly work with multiple agents, muse, grok bot, etc.
highly recommend setting up a shared notes hub for agents to trade notes and context
tried using local obsidian a while back but there was too much overwriting between agents
my current setup is just a simple github repo dedicated to this and give every agent access
Took me way too long to properly internalize this for my own businesses, despite doing and recommending this endlessly as an employee/consultant
Paying others is scalable
People think put way more effort in saving their money rather than letting their money make more money.
The goal isn’t to build a business that’s pure profit because it’s correlated to your time (that’s just a job w extra steps)
The goal is to build growth engines where money is the fuel. You want to build a machine where $ = $$$ out. And then you just keep fueling the fire so it keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Otherwise you’re just working a job with extra steps.
