one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. not much hype around it, but if you’re building with AI agents, you should read this

hot take: you don't need a software factory, and i don't love the term. it's just marketing all you need is good software engineering and investing your tokens in the right places. the more deterministic the better (and token efficient)
all the companies selling you a software factory produce a shockingly tiny amount of software

I’m working on a project with Rust and GPUI and the UI feels so smooth
We've been early adopters of Rust since 2018 and a lot of our infra, voice tech, and even some of the current client is already Rust, the holy grail was getting the whole client there. That means Electron goes away, and so does React Native, mobile keeps native UI but shares app code with desktop via Rust. We hope to get it into testing with users soon™. (And it's not Tauri, it's GPUI, so good guess everyone.) Alright, back to staring at the WoW Forever login screen.

I'm playing with pstack for a new project, and it looks amazing, the way it research and plan works, the only thing is that consumes way more tokens than the Matt Pocock skills, lets see how the project goes in general.

That is amazing, each agent having its own cursor is a killer feature. I hate that I’m building a desktop app and while the agent is doing the test with Computer Use, I can’t continue working in other stuff cuz the cursor is shared between the agent and me 🫠

Agent harnesses should always provide agents with a time tool to maintain time awareness. I really hate that they treat everything written before their session as legacy code.

Over the past few months, Anthropic scientists have engaged in deep research partnerships with six organizations developing new medicines. We've also begun drug discovery efforts of our own. In doing so, we’ve learned much more about how Claude can support the many stages of drug development. In this blog post, we share some early results from these efforts, and describe how this work fits in with our wider ambitions in the life sciences. anthropic.com/research/early…

October has been an absolute nightmare for software > Railway - customer secrets exposure > LiteLLM - malicious PyPI + Docker releases > Zeabur - infrastructure breached > OpenCode - AI API keys exposed > OVHcloud CLI - official binaries backdoored > Rank Math PRO - malware in official plugin > TeamUpdraft - customer data compromised > ConnectWise - cloud backup identities compromised > Tensorlake - npm package infected > SubQuery - backdoored npm package > GhostAction - GitHub repos with malicious workflows > PHP - critical RCE vulnerabilities > Node.js - security vulnerabilities patched > eMudhra - certificate authority keys compromised > Tailscale - eMudhra incident At this point, the biggest security risk might not be the code we write, but the code we trust...

This is so amazing, I can't imagine what kind of features now will be implemented having this speed. I'm good with 100-200 tps, but finishing task faster rather than waiting 2-3 hours will be great, specially when you did a good planning/spec.
DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 runs at 1,521+ tok/s on Fireworks Ultrafast. Fast enough to ship Tetris in 11 seconds, 7x faster than Claude Opus 5.5. Join the Ultrafast waitlist: bit.ly/3UA0wKq

Advisor in Claude Code is amazing, so you don't spend all your Fable credits, so you can set Opus 5.5 and set Fable 5.1 as advisor, which means that Fable will act as an consultant expert that will solve hard decisions in your Claude Code session whenever Opus need it

try pstack! it’s my personal set of skills for rigorous and autonomous engineering with agents. it’s updated frequently as I continue to tune and simplify them 10 second tutorial: 1. run /setup-pstack and choose your budget 2. add /poteto-mode in front of any prompt you want done rigorously 3. ask /poteto-help whenever you’re unsure what pstack skills to use 4. that’s it!
