This device used by a 4 year old (the kids only way of communicating) was stolen from a car on Temple St yesterday.
It's called a Tobii Dynavox Eye Gaze.
The family is distraught and it's of no use to anyone else.
It may have been dumped in the city centre.

A new Bloody Sunday artwork by Derry artist Joe Campbell has been installed at the junction of Harvey Street and Chamberlain Street.
Entitled Pieta, it depicts 17-year-old Jackie Duddy being carried away after he was shot dead by British soldiers on January 30, 1972.
An accompanying plaque describes the artwork as framing his death “not merely as a tragedy, but as a sacrifice and an image of sorrow, compassion, and innocence lost”.

🇪🇺 YESTERDAY IT WAS REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS. TODAY, IT'S CIVIL AVIATION.
Europe has experienced an unusual series of security incidents over the past 48 hours.
Yesterday, we reported on cyberattacks targeting commercial refrigeration systems across Europe.
Now, FIVE bomb threats involving passenger aircraft have been reported across 2–3 November.
🇩🇰🇵🇱 SAS - Copenhagen → Warsaw
🇬🇧🇵🇱 LOT - London → Warsaw
🇬🇧🇪🇸 Ryanair - Manchester → Murcia
🇮🇹🇧🇬 Aircraft - Bergamo → Sofia
🇬🇧🇧🇬 Wizz Air - London → Sofia (2 Nov)
Aircraft have been evacuated, bomb disposal teams deployed, and flights diverted.
Currently, no official evidence links these aviation incidents to one another or to the refrigeration cyberattacks.
Nevertheless, the concentration of incidents in such a short period is - let's just say extremely unusual and worth watching.

Stormont departments raised concerns about how Ulster University (UU) would fill a medical school at its Magee campus after it chose the ‘maximum option’ for expansion, internal communications have revealed.
The most senior civil servant at the Department for the Economy also told UU's Vice Chancellor that the Medical School Outline Business Case "ℎ𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑙𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑜𝑝𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦, 𝑟𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝑎 𝑟𝑒𝑞𝑢𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡, 𝑡𝑜 𝑑𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑔𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑏𝑢𝑖𝑙𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜 𝑖𝑡𝑠 𝑚𝑎𝑥𝑖𝑚𝑢𝑚 𝑐𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑐𝑖𝑡𝑦".
This has ultimately led to a downscaling of this project.
And comes on the back of UU wasting £800,000 on developing a sports dome project at Magee, which has since been scrapped.
(This raises serious questions for the UU hierarchy about it's management of projects. To date UU has laid all of the blame at Stormont's door while the UU VC talked up the amount of money he has brought into the university.

BREAKING: Belgium is now affected too by a major IT incident disrupting refrigeration systems across multiple supermarket chains.
More than 40 Delhaize stores, 15 Carrefour locations, and around five Spar outlets are reporting problems.
Refrigerators and freezers are reportedly heating up to 15°C, putting food supplies at risk.
BREAKING: 🇸🇪 Swedish grocery giant ICA, one of Sweden's largest supermarket chains, says several of its stores have been hit by a cyberattack overnight, causing refrigerators and freezers to be remotely set to 50°C.
The incident has likely resulted in large quantities of food spoiling. Multiple stores, including ICA Kvantum in Sjöbo and Tomelilla, have reported being affected.
ICA says stores will remain closed during the morning and are expected to reopen at 9:00 a.m. Swedish time.
The company has apologized to customers and says it is working to restore normal operations.
The incident comes amid a wave of cyberattacks targeting businesses recent weeks, following similar incidents reported in France and the United States.

People contact me about all sorts! Anyway, a behavioural psychologist has been in touch. They would like me to share the following. A : )
1/4 One of the basic principles of behaviour analysis is that behaviour influenced by reinforcement is more likely to occur again. On social media, attention can be a powerful reinforcer, particularly when someone repeatedly posts provocative or inflammatory content.
2/4 Importantly, reinforcement doesn’t necessarily mean praise or agreement. Angry replies, criticism, arguments and even sharing a post to challenge it can all reinforce behaviour if the attention they generate is what keeps that behaviour going.
3/4 When attention is delivered intermittently, behaviour can become particularly persistent. Not every post needs to generate a reaction. The occasional flood of comments, shares or arguments may be enough to encourage further posting and strengthen someone’s perception that their contributions matter.
4/4 It’s worth considering whether engaging with deliberately provocative content achieves anything meaningful or simply gives it a wider audience. Where attention is reinforcing the behaviour, continued engagement may only maintain it.
Sometimes choosing not to engage is more effective than responding.
