100-Year-Old Trombonist Joins Dร˜VYDร…S on โ€œTennessee Whiskeyโ€ at a Florida Nursing Home A 100-year-old resident picked up his valve trombone and joined Dร˜VYDร…S on โ€œTennessee Whiskeyโ€ with no rehearsal. They agreed on a key and played. The older musician held the melody cleanly while the room clapped and smiled. The more interesting point is what the clip quietly contradicts. We tend to treat advanced age as the point where musical ability and the desire to perform drop off. This moment shows the opposite pattern: the capacity was still present and functional. What is usually absent is any real opportunity to use it. Senior living environments almost never create a low-friction way for residents to play with visiting musicians, and visitors rarely ask. The result is that ability goes untested and then gets mistaken for decline. The performance itself is short and simple. The larger observation is that the limiting factor was access, not age.

White slaves. ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง For three hundred years, pirates from Algiers sailed to Britain and Ireland, came ashore at night, and took people from their beds. Baltimore, 1631. A hundred and seven people gone in one night. At most three ever came home. Over a million Europeans ended up in chains in North Africa. Nobody bought them. They were stolen. The kings of Europe paid ransom. For centuries. In 1816, Britain stopped paying. Lord Exmouth. Twenty British ships, six Dutch, against one of the strongest fortresses on earth. 27 August 1816. Nine hours. Fifty thousand cannonballs. 128 British sailors killed. The next day the Dey signed. Every Christian slave freed. 1,083 people walked out of Algiers in one afternoon. Nobody came for them... Until we did. โš“๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ’ช

Rant: Got last minute travel today, so won't be doing a Democracy Files drop today. But saw that the person at the center of the files posted about "unimaginable horrors." Let me tell you why I got interested in "democracy" in the first place. I've told this story many times, but here again: I was DOGE adjacent from the very beginning. I was recruited by several DOGE teams in January 2025, because I was excited about the opportunity to finally cut spending and taming the national debt. Bu then - Tesla Takedown protests happened. People got so worked up that they were firebombing innocent Tesla owners. A viral website with a Molotov cocktail cursor prominently featured my husband's address. I was doxxed in the middle of that, and forced to flee the state and homeschool my children. That's when I started researching and writing UNELECTED. I quickly found the groups organizing and funding the civil unrest were all about "democracy." It made no sense to me. DOGE wasn't overturning elections. They were cutting obviously silly awards - given our national deficit, who would object to that? Silly me! Turns out "democracy" means diffused rule by unelected people, and all that USAID money going to marginalized groups to build a "civil society" is the foundation of that. So the immune system of "civil unrest" can be activated anytime, and terrorize anyone who dares to step out of line. Such as DOGE employees. Such as me and my family. That research trail led me all the way to DemAID (now DRG), a group of ex-USAID officers. Led by you and Ro Tucci. @iamlisalogan and @SKDoubleDub33 found DemAID on video taking credit for these protests. But this isn't about me. This is about the United States. And about the dozens of countries wrecked by color revolutions. You aren't solving polarization. You are the source of polarization, because in the process of building "civil society," you are displacing people's inborn allegiances and training them up to attack the very foundations a nation are founded upon. Nor is this about revenge or anger. I'm calling on everyone to pray that no more damage is done, and that we can find a path forward that preserves our Constitutional Republic.

The United Nations bureaucracy and it's global media echo chamber have manufactured a permanent state of climate weather alarm. This climate narrative did not emerge in a vacuum; it was driven by a massive, self-perpetuating global apparatus. The World Meteorological Organization is often seen as a neutral referee, but it is far from impartial. The WMO became a specialised UN agency in 1951, and it operates on an annual budget of roughly $138.7 million with a staff of 350 to 400. Rather than serving as a passive or reliable coordinator of daily weather data, it is the central public relations engine for a global strategy rooted in alarmism. This institution sits within an even broader framework: the United Nations itself, with an annual budget of $3.45 billion and a workforce of approximately 190,000. Arguably the biggest non-governmental network in the world, the UN spent decades laying the groundwork for an environmental emergency before officially launching the narrative in 1988. That same year, the WMO and the UN Environment Programme co-founded the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change - the institutional core tasked with synthesising meteorological observations into an ongoing, bubbling crisis. Together, this triad forms an unbroken line of influence: The WMO bridges meteorological data with international political agendas. The IPCC relies on selective, distorted frameworks to shape the scientific consensus. The UN leverages the resulting narratives to push global policy and economic centralisation. We see the output of this institutional framework every day on our screens and in our feeds. A global PR machine continuously feeds the public worst-case scenarios packaged in dramatic rhetoric: 'heat domes', 'bomb cyclones' and 'code red emergencies'. The daily weather cycle has devolved into advertising junk that systematically ignores counter-balancing observations. Isobars on TV weather maps now glow in increasingly alarming shades of crimson to visually reinforce danger. Meteorologists routinely overhype routine weather events by sticking to WMO and IPCC guidelines. Local news outlets and national meteorological agencies are thoroughly embedded in this UN ecosystem, steeped in high-alarm daily targets that prioritise speculative, worst-case computer models over real-world data.

The current trajectory of the human race is less like a managed transition and more like the history of Rapa Nui (Easter Island). Cut off from the rest of the world, the islanders progressively stripped away the living world they relied on to fuel their social and competitive ambitions. They cut down the trees to transport grand statues, destroying the soil, the wildlife, and ultimately their own capacity to build canoes to fish or escape. They did not stop until the last tree was gone. We are repeating the Easter Island paradox on a global scale. We are treating our biological selves as disposable, surviving in a synthetic world of our own making while violently competing for the remaining scraps of the planet's capital. Our violent nature has not changed since we left the savannah, but our tools of extraction and destruction have scaled vastly to reach a planetary level. Some paleontologists, looking at the fossil record of typical mammalian lifespans and our current rate of degradation, suggest humanity might have another 5,000 years left. But this estimate assumes a gradual decline. It fails to account for the sheer velocity of our modern interconnected vulnerability. When the dense energy engine finally stalls, the collapse will not take millennia. It will happen with the speed of an ecosystem running out of water. By treating the Earth like a global farm to be strip-mined rather than a complex biological system to be preserved, we have systematically removed our own safety nets. We are the problem. We cannot solve the crises we have already set in motion, let alone the ones waiting for us when the hydrocarbon window slams shut. The world does not owe us a future. If we cannot learn to live within the planetary boundaries that created us, our future is already written in the silent rock strata below. It will become just another brief, turbulent layer of dust stacked neatly on top of the dinosaurs.
