the analogies keep coming but this one actually holds up. curious how many people buying the treasury stocks have ever moved a coin themselves
Saying there’s no reason to buy Bitcoin because anyone can create a cryptocurrency is like saying there’s no reason to learn English because anyone can invent a language.

every week there's a new exploit and people still leave their whole stack on an exchange. if your coins are sitting on someone else's server, a zero-day there is your problem too
Everyday is zero-day these days

guppy season for neoclouds.... 😅
Replying to @chamath
Pretty much. As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers. SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue. That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.

Today I turn 88…I’ve seen some serious shit. The most serious of it all is love. I love my family, my friends, and my wonderful fans. The power of love remains.

Introducing Bitwater: the water heater element that mines Bitcoin. It screws into the electric tank you already have. Physically decentralized mining that runs no matter what 🧵 Heat water. Mine Bitcoin. Same tank.

unpopular opinion: the best sales training in the world is 6 months buying used hardware from brokers. you learn every lie in the book, and you learn to ask the one question. still learning though!
