This is actually one of the hardest problems in consumer AI. Building something people love is one thing. Building something people naturally want to share is another. Not every great product has a built-in viral loop. Curious how consumer founders are solving this.
3 weeks of living on X as someone doing growth for a consumer AI startup. Honest notes from a newcomer, and a question for people who know this space better than I do. First, X is the best place to learn about AI. News breaks here first, the people building the products are in the replies. Nowhere else feels quite like this. But I’ve learned something else: product-market fit doesn’t automatically mean product-channel fit. Our Halloween campaign got engagement, but not much interest in the product behind it. Meanwhile, model labs and AI marketplaces run hackathons and competitions here that seem to take off. People use the models, build something, and share what they made. The product itself creates the content. And the biggest players have a second advantage: built-in distribution. @bot has X. Meta’s @Muse shows up across every Meta platform. Small consumer AI startups don’t have that luxury. And even when we get attention, turning it into actual product usage is a different problem. I’m starting to think distribution isn’t something you build around the product. It’s something you design into it. So i got a question: For consumer AI products whose aha moment isn’t naturally shareable, how do you build a growth loop that turns attention into actual usage? Would love to hear how you’d think about this! @gregisenberg @MattSwulinski @nikitabier @andrewchen

I put Vivix W1 to the test with this cat performance, and the results are impressive. From the detailed fur texture and expressive facial movements to the smooth camera transitions and consistent character appearance across shots, the visual quality really stands out. Even more impressive is how fast W1 generates while keeping production costs remarkably low. I'm sharing this creation to enter the Vivix Creator Contest. If you're into AI filmmaking, join the challenge, experiment with W1, and show us what you can create! @VivixLabs_HQ #Vivix
Our redesigned website is live, and the Vivix W1 Creator Challenge is open! 🎁 Earn 1,000 credits just for posting, and up to 6,000 credits + $300 in gift cards if it performs well. Publish by Nov 5 to enter. Create here: platform.vivix.ai/ How to join + rewards below ↓

we just fired “sorry, I was asleep.” although I would like to remain asleep. we’re building Tonebird as your 24/7 personal agent, with a memory for the people you talk to and how you talk to them. because replying to your manager at midnight takes more than adding “sounds good!” to whatever they said. what’s still unresolved? what did you promise? do they need an answer before tomorrow’s meeting? Tonebird uses the conversation history, relationship context, and your tone to draft a reply that actually addresses what’s needed. this demo puts that idea on the night shift: a manager, a partner in Seoul, a teammate. three different replies while you sleep. same me. significantly less conscious.

Motion graphics with cinematic camera moves AND editable audio? Now we're talking. Pika H3 Flex lets creators work with 5 separate audio stems, up to 12 references, and 4K output. Less compromise, more creative control. Try it here: pika.art/pika-h3-flex?utm_so…
Meet Pika H3 Flex, debuting today as the #1 open weight model on DesignArena’s t2v board. It’s built for professional iteration, with exportable audio stems, resolutions up to 4k, and faster-than-realtime generation. It can produce a 15-second clip with soundtrack in as little as 7 seconds. So, yeah. It’s kind of a flex 💅

This is the AI agent idea I've been waiting for. Not just auto-replies, but replies that know who you're talking to and what you've promised them. Sleeping through a 4 PM Seoul deadline while the deal gets signed is the dream.
we just fired you. from the night shift. relax. we’re building Tonebird as your 24/7 personal agent. it remembers who people are to you, what you promised them, and how you talk to each other. because your manager’s “any update?” and your client’s “any update?” need different answers. Tonebird uses that relationship context and the conversation history to draft a reply that sounds like you. in our latest film, San Francisco goes to bed. Seoul gets an answer. the deal gets signed. you keep the job. the bird gets the unreasonable hours.

Anyone juggling multiple clients knows the real cost isn't writing the reply, it's rebuilding the context before you can write it. Tone memory per relationship is the feature I'd actually pay for. Also, the cat's delegation strategy is flawless.
we just promoted a bird to head of client relations. it remembers which client is waiting on an update, what you promised them, and why “sure” sounds fine to one person and cold to another. that’s what we’re building with Tonebird: a 24/7 personal agent that remembers your relationships and uses the conversation history to help you reply in your own voice. so “any update?” doesn’t mean reopening six threads to remember what the update was supposed to be. made a pet version of the film. the cat immediately delegated everything and went to sleep.

GTM is not a viral post. GTM is not a cinematic launch video. GTM is not putting your outreach on autopilot. I’m working on GTM for Tonebird, making AI videos, testing hooks, replying to comments, and inviting people to try the product. It’s easy to fill a week with all of that. The real layers I’m trying to connect: → Attention: a hook that makes the right person stop. → Relevance: a scenario that makes them think “this happens to me.” → Trust: a demo that shows what actually works, and honest answers when people ask. → Activation: a clear next step from “looks cool” to trying it on their own problem. → Retention: a reason to use it again after the launch video is forgotten. → Feedback: what people struggle with shaping both the product and the next thing we say.

What if your Halloween product ad started with a quiet bedroom and ended with a ghost climbing through the window? Dreamina’s first month is just $0.29. CapCut Desktop offers 60% OFF Pro or 40% OFF Ultra through Oct 30. These are separate subscriptions. With the phone call, the woman running away, and the ghost entering, it’s easy for clips to feel disconnected. CapCut PC Multi-Track Editing helps you arrange the shots and audio into one smooth mini horror story. Most AI tools treat every client like a stranger. Giving your agent memory of who people are and what you promised them is what turns a chatbot into an actual teammate. This is the feature I've been waiting for.
we just fired time zones. We’re building Tonebird.ai as your 24/7 personal agent, with a memory for the people in your life: who they are to you, what you promised them, and how you usually talk. Your client shouldn’t need a fresh introduction every time you ask AI to help you reply. So we made a Tonebird film where San Francisco goes to sleep, Seoul keeps working, and the deal closes before the alarm goes off. The sun can keep its schedule. We’d like ours back.

the part I keep getting stuck on is how a startup gets big enough in the first place. Google has a whole graveyard of products it had the money to keep alive, and they still died. money doesn’t make the ball roll. I think the early version of katamari is getting big in a tiny corner. a few thousand people who can’t stop using you, in one very specific job. that’s enough to know which capabilities matter. you don’t need to be big everywhere, just deep somewhere.
a lot of applied AI companies were playing katamari - get big enough that you know which capabilities are actually worth improving, can afford to train (and win) win your domain, and have immediate demand against which to amortize that investment

we fired the keyboard. your pet got the job. zero typing experience. slept through onboarding. knocked something off the desk. but he does understand “tap the phone twice,” which is apparently enough to get a draft started now. we connected Tonebird to iPhone Back Tap through an iOS shortcut. it reads the chat on screen and suggests replies in your tone, so our newest employee can focus on his core competency: touching things he shouldn’t. a human still picks the reply and sends it. he’s already asking to work from home.
