Iran is openly threatening to pull the plug on the entire Gulf. Tehran says if the US and Israel launch a fresh attack, they will absolutely obliterate critical infrastructure across as many as seven countries.
This would result in the full-scale targeting of oil facilities, undersea cables, data centers, and AI infrastructure.
Total systemic blackout.

Zelenskyy claims he wants peace, yet he never mentions the inconvenient steps he would have to take for any real peace to become possible in Ukraine. If he were genuinely guided by the country’s interests rather than his own, he would have done at least two of the following:
1. Repeal his own 2022 decree banning negotiations with Putin (by name.) As long as that decree remains in force, any talks with Putin are legally illegitimate under Ukrainian law.
2. He recently stated that a 60-day ceasefire would allow him to submit the legislative initiatives required to hold elections. Ukraine is a parliamentary-presidential republic. Parliamentary elections are fully prohibited under martial law, but there is no direct constitutional ban on presidential elections. Nevertheless, a series of legislative changes would still need to be passed to make presidential elections possible. Why, then, does Zelenskyy need a 60-day ceasefire for this? The parliament is fully functional and can vote on such bills right now. Passing them would demonstrate a genuine intention to hold elections. Until that happens, the ceasefire demand remains a legal maneuver aimed mainly at Western audiences, who are less familiar with the details of Ukraine’s electoral system.
3. Given the corruption scandals surrounding Zelenskyy, growing doubts about his legitimacy, and the deep divisions his continued leadership has created within Ukrainian society — divisions that fuel constant debate and hostility — he could resign and transfer power to the Speaker of Parliament, the only figure whose legitimacy is currently beyond serious dispute. The Speaker could sign any agreements, conduct negotiations, and appoint elections without the same questions of authority that now attach to Zelenskyy.
If Zelenskyy truly wanted elections or a viable path toward a settlement, he would take these concrete legal steps rather than endlessly performing the role of the aggrieved wartime leader on international media. This is political theater, and the quality of the performance has long since declined. Behind the cameras, much of the current political class fears Zelenskyy, understanding that there are effectively no limits to the retribution he can exact for perceived disloyalty.

What’s actually going on in Ukraine is that there is a massive incentive difference between the elites and the people.
The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latter’s children are conscripted to die in trenches.

BREAKING: Iran has drawn up detailed plans to attack the 7 major undersea Internet cables in the Gulf as soon as the US and Israel attack it again, per two senior Iranian officials to Reuters.
Iran says it would aim to prevent repairs after any attack to prolong the disruption to communications and internet connections.
"If Iran is attacked, there will be no more red lines, from undersea cables to military bases, including covert ones." The official warned US not to "play with fire," saying Iran has full access to the cables and could easily destroy them.
More than 99% of international data traffic travels through undersea cables. Iran warned this month that US-linked data centres and AI facilities across the Gulf will also be targeted.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Putin is blaming Ukraine for the war, claiming Moscow tried to negotiate a settlement YEARS before Russia's full-scale invasion.
He argues that back in 2014, Russia offered to help Kyiv reach an agreement with the separatist southeast, but Ukrainian authorities responded with artillery and aircraft against civilians.
“They practically unleashed a war.”
Putin also claims Kyiv refused to compromise under the Minsk agreements, insisting Russia had pushed for negotiations from the beginning.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 Peter Thiel, one of Trump’s most influential billionaire backers, says the Iran war was a MISTAKE
“I think we should not have done it. There were a lot of mistakes that were made.”
Thiel made the comments last week during a private lecture in Nashville.
He also raised the question no one in the GOP wants to answer <2 weeks before the midterms:
“Maybe we don’t have the hard power. Maybe we’re going to lose the soft power war.”
Thiel co-founded PayPal and Palantir, donated $1.25 million to Trump’s 2016 campaign, was a key WH advisor during Term I, and poured millions into JD Vance’s Senate primary that put him on the path to VP.
His data company Palantir is actively assisting Trump’s deportation operations today.
He still supports Trump. But his assessment of the Iran war is damning.
When a donor this close starts saying “we should not have done it,” you can bet the White House is listening.

Trump said: “We could leave [Iran] now, but we want to make sure it lasts for a long time.”
This is the forever war his supporters swore he would never do. The same guy who wrecked Jeb Bush in 2016 over Iraq and Afghanistan is now deliberately dragging this out so Iran “never rebuilds.”
If you’re still backing Trump and the current GOP, you’re voting for more open-ended wars. The anti-war Trump is gone.

BREAKING: Iranian officials now believe a joint U.S.-Israeli attack is imminent and instructing the country’s armed forces to directly activate the decentralized “Mosaic Defense” doctrine, with commanders reportedly receiving extensive lists of U.S. economic and political targets to strike if war erupts, per Fars News.
A senior Iranian security official warned that U.S. political assets and infrastructure in countries participating in the conflict could be directly targeted. The doctrine disperses military command across 31 provincial commands, designed to allow Iran to continue fighting even if its central leadership is attacked.

BREAKING: Iran has instructed all arms of its armed forces to treat political targets associated with the US and other participants in the war, along with their infrastructure, as legitimate targets in the next round of large-scale war with the US and Israel, which Tehran considers certain, per a senior Iranian security official to Fars.
It comes as Trump has shifted toward favoring a preemptive strike on Iran in recent hours.
