So what you’re saying is that when given a bigger team and a bigger budget, he made massive strides, then when he outran the capability of the club to match his success, results suffered👍 Cheers, sound like he will do well at a legacy club if he has the funds.

Adnan Hussain won Blackburn by 132 votes. That is the whole man. One hundred and thirty-two. He overturned an 18,000 Labour majority with it, and his first words were "this is for Gaza". Not for Blackburn. For Gaza. Now he is outraged that Israel held two British MPs at a border for eight hours and sent them home. He calls Israel a "rogue state". He wants the government to condemn it "in the strongest possible terms". Fine. Let us test him on Israel. In 2014 he stood at a rally and said "let's make Israel burn". In 2024 he said there is "no difference" between the Israeli government and ISIS. ISIS, who behead captives and throw men off rooftops, are, on his reading, the same as the country with a supreme court, an Arab party in its parliament and a free press. No difference. Not one. He calls it a genocide. Plenty do. But he says the word so often, and so loudly, that it has stopped describing anything and started meaning simply "Israel, bad". And rogue state. Israel. Rogue. Rogue like Iran, then. Iran, who runs terror plots on British soil, whose Revolutionary Guard owns the smuggling routes that land its operatives on our beaches, and who has spent forty years killing people through proxies in other people's capitals. That rogue state. Adnan mentions it about as often as he mentions the weather. Here is the actual problem with Adnan Hussain. He is not an MP with a constituency. He is a mood. A feeling that swept Blackburn for one summer, when Gaza was on every screen and Labour was on the wrong side of it. He caught the wave. 132 votes, and off he went. And a wave is not a base. There is no machine, no record, no Blackburn in his politics. Just Gaza. Blackburn is one of the most deprived boroughs in the country. It needs houses, skills, a town centre worth walking into. It got a Palestine plan. So when Gaza slides off the screens, and when this government finally falls, Adnan goes with it. He has nothing to be once the thing he is against is gone. He is a cheerleader for a team that is not his. He is not the future of Blackburn. He is the tide mark. A line on the wall showing how high the water reached in July 2024. And the water is going out.
The mockery of British elected representatives being detained by a rogue state is disgraceful. Whatever your politics, this should be a matter of principle. Israel must not be allowed to act with impunity. I hope our government condemns this in the strongest possible terms.

From Jan, Brits will have highest energy bills ever. How the hell are Brits expected to magic up £2,192 a year for energy bills? A 27% increase. Subsidising penguins farts whilst sitting on oil

Which part of, ‘you get the fuck away from me before I put a bullet in your head’ isn’t a threat to life, therefore a crime?

BBC publicity staff refused to promote an Emmy-winning documentary about the victims of the Oct 7 massacre in Israel, The Telegraph can disclose. The film, Surviving October 7th: We Will Dance Again, reconstructed the events at the Nova music festival, where 364 Israeli civilians were murdered, numerous attendees subject to rape and mutilation, and 44 were kidnapped and taken hostage. The film was commissioned by the BBC, whose in-house publicists turned their back on it “due to its subject matter”, it is alleged. 🔗 telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/10…

I believe this prehistoric ostrich egg could depict the three pyramids of Giza, the Nile and the Red Sea. There's just one extraordinary problem. It was made and buried thousands of years before the pyramids were supposedly built. 🧵 1/5

@AngelaRayner, did you allow Islamist extremists to influence the drafting of the “anti-Muslim hostility” definition? It’s a simple yes-or-no question. If not, why did your department claim that it had deleted all responses to the Working Group’s consultation, only to say — after the Free Speech Union threatened legal action — that the responses were still held on its data system? And why does your department still refuse to disclose who responded to the consultation? While we’re at it: if, as your Permanent Secretary confirmed in a letter to @NJ_Timothy, ministers had no involvement in this decision, who is running your department? The public deserves to know the truth.

Was he not announcing his pronouns or wearing his Palestine flag? Is that why the BBC are angry?
