Controversial VTuber opinion of the day: Making money from your content is okay! As a manager I get so many people that are ashamed to promote their merch, put up sub goals or run donathons even in emergencies. I see so many VTweeters virtue signal that people are in the community “only for profit”, yet fail to mention that VTubing is an industry making millions on the corporate level. All of streaming is. I told people early on to subscribe, I have no shame about making this my full-time job, and neither should you. VTubing is expensive, life is expensive, and almost every single person I know has monetized a hobby they have for extra cash. It’s not uncommon and it is totally okay to start something with the intent to earn. Stop feeling bad about some nobody’s guilt trip online.
