grateful to have @soleio bringing Adam to our attention
A special shoutout to @soleio.
Earlier this year, I saw his post offering to help people considering their next career move, so I reached out. We barely knew each other, but he asked me what my 2–3 dream companies were. Linear was at the top of that list.
Without hesitation, he offered to make introductions and continued to be an incredibly thoughtful sounding board as I explored different opportunities.
I was genuinely blown away by his generosity. I hope sharing this encourages others to reach out for help and to pay it forward when they're in a position to do so.

what I do like 50x a day inside @linear with the agent:
“anything we could learn from…”
…my Granola meetings
…documents I wrote recently
…what other people are working on or how they have described this
…customer feedback and discussions
then use that to sharpen whatever I'm doing. I keep building these context/alignment documents around our plans, ideas, and company direction.
I now have these long running agent chats for different types of work

you can't, milestones way to structure the individual project.
but you can create the same milestone in multiple projects with the same date.
what kind of milestone are you trying to track

Okay selling to indie developers is officially dead too.
We got another software that’s been open-sourced for 99X cheaper.
Posting to multiple social media platforms.
It’s GG man.
Can’t even imagine where we’ll be in 2030.
You better really think about what you’re building before you prompt your agent again.
There are thousands of hungry and motivated developers that will clone and undercut you on pricing (or make it free).
Yeah yeah maintenance is a concern but not if AI gets 10x better in the next few years.
This is one hell of a timeline we’re living in
Paying $99/month was getting a little too expensive...
So I built my own open source alternative that now costs me LESS THAN $1/month to run.
YES, 99x CHEAPER! 🤯
Introducing Open Post, an open source alternative to Post Bridge that lets you post to all your social media accounts from one dashboard.
I'll be open sourcing it on GitHub this coming week once I finish testing each social media integration.
And just to be clear...
This isn't about taking business away from an existing SaaS. I simply wanted to build something cheaper for myself that does the exact same thing.
If you want a ready-to-use solution and don't mind paying $40-$100/month, definitely check out the original SaaS!
But if you prefer self-hosting and saving money, Open Post is coming soon for free. 🚀

Issues created in @linear by people and via MCP are up 400% this year.
Another fast growing trend: more customers are building their own internal agents and using Linear as the shared layer for workflows, communication and context between people and agents.
As teams move faster, connecting goals, requests, reasoning and the work matters more, even if it sometimes happens after the fact in the review.
Here is one customer oriented example we can do in our Linear:
- Pick a top-10 customer. Ask the agent for a brief of their top requests and the reasoning we've captured
- Write it to a doc in Linear and decide what to build with some people
- Have the agent turn the decisions into projects and issues, carrying the customer requests and meeting notes with them
- Teams send their agents to work on them
- At the QBR, ask agent to generate a report and show the customer what has actually landed or them, how and why
Now multiple these kind of workflows 100 or 1000 times where someone is learning something worth fixing, or trying ideas and finding beta customers for it. Or just aligning across the team or cross function.
Not posting our revenue chart, but it looks a lot like this one
This is the app I use to screen record btw

There's always another email to answer, another deal to close, or another problem to solve. Building a successful business should give you more opportunities to enjoy life with the people you love, not fewer.

a thoughtful review of muse wonder full ♥️
to be clear, there is still a lot for us to improve and we are working on ironing a ton of kinks in how we deployed the model
I can re-watch this over and over again for real 😅🙌🙌
Mark Zuckerberg says Alexandr Wang is the sharpest entrepreneur of his generation: "Alex is the guy. He's the fucking guy."
"Alex and I had spent a bunch of time talking over the years, and maybe once every few months or something we'd talk. And I was always just very impressed by how he thought about things strategically."
"I kind of had this view of like, all right, currently he's doing this very operational data business, but it always felt to me like he was the sharpest entrepreneur of his generation of the ones who I had a chance to meet."
"I think maybe when we got started, a lot of people were like, okay, like how is this going to work? It's like the social media guy is working with the data guy. Like, are we going to build a frontier lab here or what?"
"My really strong conviction is because I talked to all the leaders of all the labs, all the heads of research, all this stuff, and I was like, no, Alex is the guy. Like he's the fucking guy."
"We need this kind of strategic clarity that he has around the different ways that we want to approach this, the kind of extreme focus on talent density, on the clarity of communicating the different vision which we kind of fashioned together over this period."
"And a bunch of things that I think were kind of extreme but have basically worked, like having this very flat culture was something that you were kind of really obsessed with."

We didn't become builders because we want more output, but to make something good.
To keep make something good, the learning for is needed as much the product you build.
Linear CEO @karrisaarinen: "Making products produces two things: the product, and the learning.
The effort you put into building and designing things teaches you something about what the problem is, what the customers want.
We're in this time now that there's this danger of losing that direct connection with the learning."

Builders with fewer than 2,000 followers:
Reply with what you’re building + a link.
I’ll pick 5 projects from the replies and feature them in a separate post tomorrow.
I want to #connect a few good builders with more people who might care about what they’re building.

Just hire him. What else can you expect from someone other than him?
I am looking for my next career opportunity!
I'm Corbin Crutchley; an engineering leader, consultant, author, and open-source maintainer.
Previously as a VP of Eng, I've sped up engineering efforts for companies. My teams rework large-scale systems while building new features at the same time.
You may also know of my OSS projects (@tan_stack & others) or my books (@playful_program).
Roles I'm looking for:
- CTO / VP of Engineering for small/medium companies
- Staff+ Engineering roles, esp developer tooling
- Consulting gigs
Likewise, if your project is particularly challenging and / or complex, let's talk.
Know of a good role for me? Book some time on my website or reach out in direct messages:
