Well you see, an El-Sayed campaign surrogate put out an ad blaming the Jews for the cost of groceries, and she wasn't okay with that one and the candidate your Dem GOTV op website is all in for was okay with it
Happy to clarify that one for you.

Kalshi currently prices James Talarico at roughly 70% to beat Ken Paxton in the Texas Senate race. That number doesn’t match what I’m hearing from friends across the state, so I dug into the market activity.
Most of the number of bets are actually on Paxton (around 73%). The money pushing Talarico’s odds higher appears concentrated in a smaller number of large positions, many of them placed late at night or in the early morning hours.
In a market of this size, a single six-figure bet can move the price significantly. That makes it relatively cheap for someone to inflate Talarico’s odds and create the impression that the race is already over. The practical effect is to discourage Paxton supporters from turning out.
I find that explanation more plausible than the current headline odds, and I’m comfortable betting accordingly. The only number that ultimately matters is the one on Election Day.
Go vote. Don’t let a prediction-market price decide whether you show up.

Haley Stevens made the gutsiest move I’ve seen in my political life today. Nothing but respect.
NEW: Georgia's Kirby Smart on players getting injured more in the SEC compared to previous years:
"I don’t know that the players are any different. I think about the teams we had in 2021 and 2022, how physical they were and how they practiced. We can’t even get close to that now. Is it different culture that guys don’t want to as much? I don’t know. They were definitely hungrier, because there was a motivation to make it. A lot of these guys, honestly, they make more than I was making until I was 40. So it’s just a different day and age."

To be clear, her highly sensible ask was that Abdul condemn a blatantly antisemitic ad. That bar proved too high, and instead he’s lashing (crashing?) out against his primary challenger (willing to support him!) who got 49% of the vote.

US Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed’s campaign is asking Haley Stevens to stay away from all future campaign events in the closing days of the race.
A source tells Politico that his team wants her to stay away “as not to distract from the central issues of the campaign.”

When we finally got Dustin and Yolanda’s treatment records, we were able to compare what their treatment providers billed for and what they remember receiving. In total, treatment providers billed their insurance $440,000.
We tried to get answers from the main provider they visited - Integrity Recovery Center. After months of no callbacks, I traveled to LA this summer to visit their facility.

i don't think people realize just how revolutionary retatrutide is
so far, clinical trials have shown:
- up to 25–28% bodyweight loss in 80 weeks, basically - approaching bariatric surgery results without the surgery
- reduction of knee arthritis pain by ~70% in some patients
- sleep apnea going into remission or becoming mild in up to half of patients
- up to 93% of prediabetics returning to normal blood sugar levels
- lowers blood pressure
- lowers triglycerides by up to 41%
-lowers non-HDL cholesterol by ~16–20%
- reduces inflammatory markers by over 50%
- reduces liver fat by up to 86%, with up to 93% of patients in some groups returning to normal liver fat levels
plus all the benefits that come from simply losing weight
and now they're testing its effects on chronic back pain, cardiovascular disease, kidney outcomes and more
there's now a single drug that can make people lose a quarter of their bodyweight while improving or potentially reversing many of the most common chronic conditions that plague hundreds of millions of people. insane
and it's still in clinical trials, imagine what decades of improved metabolic health could mean for human health and longevity

An experimental weight-loss drug slashed breathing interruptions during sleep so dramatically that one in four non-diabetic patients saw their sleep apnea completely disappear.
Retatrutide, an investigational GLP-1 by Eli Lilly, improved more than 50% of obstructive sleep apnea symptoms in 68% of participants over 80 weeks, according to a new study published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Researchers say the results could reduce reliance on CPAP machines, which remain the frontline treatment for the condition that affects over 50 million Americans — 80% of whom are undiagnosed.

I used to review officer-involved shooting reports generated by a D.A. explaining the decision to exonerate officers, and recall often thinking “I mean, could that *really* be how it went down?” I suspected there may be some fog of war or selective memory or post-hoc justification to give the officer a rational justification and paint the victim in a negative, irrational light.
But with the post-2020 adoption of body cams, I now believe it all. There is no behavior too insane for a huge number of suspects when confronted with literally any command by an officer requesting some form of compliance.
Even I thought body cams would shine a light on some substantial percentage of clear officer abuse, but it’s clearly negligible, while dangerous and erratic behavior by suspects is widespread. It is impossible to overstate how wrong BLM and reform activists were on this count.
