The UK mayor of Bath, Dr Bharat Pankhania, has apologized for sharing a series of posts that claimed the firebombing of Jewish ambulances outside of a synagogue were "Israeli false flags" and "insurance fraud."
He said that "I have been made aware that I have reposted or replied to some posts which have never aligned to my values and beliefs, and which are abhorrent."
So, he wasn't aware that he shared antisemitic conspiracy theories that a hate crime on Jews was actually just the Jews greedily trying to get insurance payouts and sympathy? Was he sleep-liking posts?
If you can't truly acknowledge what you did wrong, then an apology is meaningless. You can't change behavior you won't acknowledge.
Dr Pankhania should spend time with the Jewish community talking about the effect his posts had if he truly wants to make this situation better.

I don't sign petitions very often, and won't sign one asking for a councillor to quit.
Not my ward, not my councillor.
But if somebody started a petition asking @bob_combedown to run if Cllr Apologies quit ..... then 🤔🤔maybe I would get off my high horse and sign.

I want my daughters to live in a country where their right to single-sex spaces isn’t under attack from their own government.
I want my daughter to grow up in a Britain where she feels safe in school, online, and in relationships.
Every young girl deserves that, and every young boy should be protected from harmful misogynistic influences.
My government is making that happen, by backing teachers, calling out misogyny and intervening early.
We can stop harm before it starts and save a generation of young men from the influence of online misogynists.

I think planning conditions & obligations “run with the land” and continue to apply regardless of who occupies the building. So a relaxation of the condition of no cars needs to be sought via an application to vary/remove the condition.
I dont see one.
