Haley Stevens and her fiancé doing the media rounds to openly lie about El-Sayed just days ahead of an election that will decide control of the Senate and the future of the county is absolutely about Haley Stevens. You aiding this anti-Democratic smear campaign is unconscionable.
This isn’t about Haley Stevens. It’s about the basic question she raised: Why won’t El-Sayed just condemn the Jew-hating ad? News flash: You can be for lower costs and stand up to hate at the same time. jewishinsider.com/2026/10/el

If the Interior Minister of Japan started committing war crimes with our tax dollars we'd get to know him.
NYT's Bret Stephens whines that Democrats know "Smotrich and Ben-Gvir" but not "the interior minister of Japan." Their "obsession" with Israel drives him "crazy." (Being politically informed on Israel is now anti-Semitic.)

If you want to see how false accusations of antisemitism can be weaponized against critics of Israel, here's a glaring example: Mike Huckabee, an evangelical Christian, accuses Ed Miliband, who is Jewish and whose parents were Jewish refugees, of being antisemitic because he expressed concern about the entry of medication into the Gaza Strip: timesofisrael.com/huckabee-a

1) A quick FYI, Micah -- Judaism has been around for a very long time. For the vast majority of that time, there has not been a state of Israel. The Jewish religion we have today is one that developed out of thousands of years of diaspora. 2) Yes, when mainline Jewish institutions aggressively declare that criticism of Israel equates to antisemitism and that the American Jewish community will stand with Israel no matter what crimes the state commits, a lot of people are going to start ascribing the Israeli regime’s horrifying conduct to all Jews. This is an obvious fact. 3) The logic of Zionism rests on the claim that Jewish safety necessitates a Jewish state. But tying the reputation of our people to the rogue government of an ethnostate is not making us safer. It’s making American Jews more vulnerable to the kind of antisemitic mass politics that we haven’t had to worry about in this country for a long time. That’s what my Jewish sons have to look forward to. We have every right to be mad at leaders like you who are contributing to that danger.
Defenders — and some critics — of Hasan Piker just don’t get it. The issue isn’t (just) that he lumps all Jews together and holds us all accountable for the supposed evils of Israel. It’s that his nonstop drive to demonize the world’s sole Jewish state, along with those who support its survival, crosses the line — by miles — between criticism and Jew hatred of the ancient variety.  Also, Mr. Piker, Zionism is in fact bound up with Judaism. It is not “false conflation.” Yes, some Jews are anti-Zionists. And yes, you have helped turned the Z-word into a slur such that large numbers of Jews, particularly younger ones, disown it partly out of misunderstanding. But when Jews are attacked for supporting Israel, they are being attacked for a core part of their Jewish identity. It is Jew hatred, it is unacceptable, and your rhetoric encourages it. Spare us all your taxonomy of good Jews and bad Jews.

Honored to receive @VanHollenForMD’s endorsement. Sen. Van Hollen has been a fierce fighter in the Senate opposing Trump’s weaponization of ICE, standing up against the illegal war in Iran, battling special-interest money in politics, and building an economy that works for all, not the billionaire class.

All we did was send our military to the other side of the world, bombed Iran's bridges and elementary schools, then imposed a military blockade to crush their economy and population. Then, out of nowhere, these deranged monsters shoot one of our peaceful liberatory helicopters. These people only understand force! They're like from the 8th century.

Just kind of left speechless at an invading army whining to the United Nations that the people they are invading — and killing their civilians by the thousands — are fighting back. This is a mystifying level of lack of self awareness
Their absence of self-awareness is a serious pathology. They just killed 3k civilians (really, civilians) and are complaining that their invading soldiers are facing some risks WHILE INVADING.

This relentless effort to replace “Israel” with “Jews” is disgraceful. Defend the state of Israel if you believe it can be defended, stop implicating millions of people who are not with you on this.

This, the conditions of disease deliberately inflicted on Palestinians in the camps, is a continuation of the genocide. These conditions are calculated to contribute to causing the physical destruction of a people.
I don’t know if anyone will care about what I am saying, but the outside world must know exactly what is happening here
not later, but now. What we are experiencing in Gaza has gone beyond the limits of human endurance. The camps have turned into a terrifying hotspot for the spread of diseases. With the beginning of summer and thousands of families crowded into extremely tight spaces next to garbage dumps, illness is spreading rapidly, as if it has become part of daily life. There is also an incomprehensible media silence regarding the scale of this growing health catastrophe, despite repeated warnings from medical teams and field workers. Skin diseases, infections, and contagious illnesses are spreading widely, especially among children, in an environment that lacks the most basic conditions of hygiene or treatment. Rats are everywhere between the tents, insects are spreading heavily and causing continuous injuries, and there are no means of control such as poisons or pesticides. My nieces are part of this reality
their bodies are covered in painful bites that worsen every day without effective treatment. The situation is collapsing with no real solutions. Medicines are scarce, disinfectants are almost nonexistent, and unsafe water is contributing directly to the spread of disease, while the healthcare system is beyond its capacity. As of now, cases are estimated at around 160,000 people and still increasing, most of them children. This is not an exaggeration
it is a complete health collapse inside the camps.

They sabotaged Iran’s economy into collapse, infiltrated and armed protesters to riot and create mass casualties. Then inflated those numbers 10x to start an illegal war of destruction. These aren’t conspiracy theories. These are confirmed facts and statements by officials.

The President’s hands must be pried off the steering wheel. If not, what is coming for the US and the world’s economy will be the clear responsibility of the VP, the Cabinet, and the Republican Senators.
Macro strategist Luke Gromen on oil and the global economy: “The world economy cannot survive a 7 to 11% loss of oil supply. It will not survive.” “We can debate: is Europe going to go first and collapse? Is Southeast Asia going to go first and collapse? Will America collapse first? But the global economy, it is a certainty, it will collapse if we keep oil supplies down 7 to 11%.”

Another scholar is targeted due to his opinions on the Iran war. The McCarthyite campaign against academics critical of Israeli and US policy is one of the biggest threats to free speech in our time.
The University of Washington appears to have removed a professor, Aria Fani, from his position as director of the Middle East Center because he criticized Israel and stated that the claim that Iran was pursuing a nuclear weapon was untrue.

I warned Biden and Harris directly: Our silence on Gaza was morally, legally, and politically wrong. We were told it wasn't in the data. That wasn't strategy – it was risk aversion dressed up as wisdom. Democrats cannot make that same mistake again this midterm season.

Netanyahu wants to dig Trump deeper and deeper into this mess because he knows Trump's only way out at this point is turning on Netanyahu and Israel. One wonders when Trump will figure this out.
