Totally unacceptable. A targeted drone strike hit two @WFP trucks in #Ukraine.
No one was hurt, but the trucks—and the life-saving aid they were delivering—went up in flames.
Humanitarian workers, vehicles and cargo are #NotATarget. Anytime, anywhere.
Today, humanitarian workers — including from @OCHA_Ukraine, @WFPUkraine & @WHOUkraine — came under attack in #Kherson Region, while delivering aid to civilians.
@matzschmale again urged respect for international humanitarian law: humanitarian workers and assets are #NotATarget.

russians are driving around with ‘Z’ terrorism symbols on their cars. If you care about national security, then realise these people are the risk. They support genocide and murder openly. ICE should be raiding their homes and sending them back to russia

Last night, Poland’s airspace was breached 19 times by drones manufactured in Russia. Our assessment is that they did not veer off course but were deliberately targeted.
Poland, EU and NATO will not be intimidated and we will continue to stand by the brave people of Ukraine. It’s time for the leadership of Russia to understand that the attempt to rebuild Europe’s last empire is doomed to fail.

Russian goals in the last night Poland attack were:
1) Testing technical parameters of Polish / Nato air defense
2) Testing political respond first of all from the U.S., but also Nato
3) Fuelling Polish-Ukrainian tensions through bot farms ("Ukraine let drones come" vs "Poles are incapable" etc)
4) Fuelling "we need arms for ourselves, not for Ukraine" voices
5) Demoralizing Polish / Nato armies, political elites, population by humiliating the Nato.
This are goals which one can name immediately. I am sure there were more.

Poland’s PM Donald Tusk told parliament that an estimated 19 drones entered Poland’s airspace, of which about four were shot down, adding that “a significant portion” had been flown from Russia’s ally Belarus.
The Polish military said that its airspace has been 'repeatedly violated by drone-type objects' and that an operation was under way to identify and neutralise them on.ft.com/3V9UbSM

Rescuers are now working in Volochysk, Khmelnytskyi region, where the Russians struck an ordinary sewing workshop with a missile. As of now, three people are reported injured. This is just one of the sites of today’s massive Russian attack: about 415 drones of various types and more than 40 cruise and ballistic missiles. Fifteen of our regions were under attack. Sadly, one person was killed as a result of shelling in the Zhytomyr region. My condolences to the family and loved ones.
Moscow always pushes the boundaries of what is possible, and if it does not encounter a strong reaction, it remains at the new level of escalation. Today there was another step of escalation – Russian-Iranian “shaheds” operated in the airspace of Poland, in NATO airspace. It was not just one “shahed” that could be called an accident, but at least eight strike drones aimed toward Poland.
An extremely dangerous precedent for Europe. Whether there will be further steps depends entirely on the coordination and strength of the response. The Russians must feel the consequences. Russia must feel that the war cannot be expanded and will have to be ended.
The pause in sanctions has gone on far too long. Delaying restrictions on Russia and its accomplices only means increasing the brutality of the strikes. Sufficient weapons are needed to deter Russia. A strong response is needed – and it can only be a joint response by all partners: Ukraine, Poland, all Europeans, the United States. I thank everyone who is helping.

Russia has not broken Ukraine’s resolve.
It is not breaking ours either.
We now have met 80% of our 2 million rounds of ammunition target.
We aim for 100% by October.

President @ZelenskyyUA:
A brutally savage Russian airstrike with an aerial bomb on the rural settlement of Yarova in the Donetsk region. Directly on people. Ordinary civilians. At the very moment when pensions were being disbursed. According to preliminary information, more than 20 people were killed. There are no words… My condolences to all the families and loved ones of the victims.
Such Russian strikes must not be left without an appropriate response from the world. The Russians continue destroying lives while avoiding new strong sanctions and new strong blows. The world must not remain silent. The world must not remain idle. A response is needed from the United States. A response is needed from Europe. A response is needed from the G20. Strong actions are needed to make Russia stop bringing death.

Ukraine’s new prime minister touring her burned government office building this morning after Russia’s biggest ever mass air attack damaged its top floor: “We need stronger air defense – more systems and more ammunition – to shield our cities and our energy system as winter approaches. We need tougher sanctions that will deprive the aggressor of oil and gas revenues, the very resources funding its terror.”
This is how the headquarters of Ukraine’s government now looks after this morning's Russian attack. Our whole team works in this building daily. Fortunately, no one was injured. Russian barbarism will not halt the work of Ukraine’s government.
The walls will be repaired, they are only bricks, but the lives of our people can’t be restored. In this night’s Russian attack 4 people killed and 44 injured.
What is clear is that Russia does not want peace.
I urge the world to turn outrage over Russian crimes into concrete support for Ukraine. Not for the walls of this building, but to protect our people and communities across the country.
We need stronger air defense – more systems and more ammunition – to shield our cities and our energy system as winter approaches. We need tougher sanctions that will deprive the aggressor of oil and gas revenues, the very resources funding its terror.
Only by standing strong and united can we bring an end to Russian aggression and secure peace.

Since last night, work has been ongoing to eliminate the consequences of Russian strikes – more than 800 drones, 13 missiles, including 4 ballistic. According to preliminary information, several drones crossed the border of Ukraine and Belarus.
In Kyiv, ordinary residential buildings have been destroyed. In one of them, the floors between the 4th and 8th stories have collapsed. As of now, two people have been reported killed, including one child. My condolences to all their loved ones. In total, dozens were injured in the capital alone. The Cabinet of Ministers building was damaged – a fire broke out on the upper floors. More than 20 houses and a kindergarten were damaged in Zaporizhzhia. Warehouses were destroyed in Kryvyi Rih, one person was killed in Safonivka, Sumy region, and another one in the Chernihiv region. A residential high-rise was hit in Odesa. Many regions have been affected over the past day. Our emergency services are working everywhere they are needed.
Such killings now, when real diplomacy could have already begun long ago, are a deliberate crime and a prolongation of the war. It has been repeatedly said in Washington that sanctions will follow a refusal to talk. We must implement everything that was agreed in Paris. We also count on the implementation of all the agreements to strengthen our air defense. Every additional system saves civilians from these vile strikes. The world can force the Kremlin criminals to stop the killings – all that is needed is political will. I thank everyone who is helping.

Russia has once again rained down hundreds of drones and a dozen missiles on Ukraine overnight, striking indiscriminately — including residential areas and the seat of government.
My thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, and with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
Together with Ukraine and our partners, we stand for peace.
Russia, meanwhile, is locking itself ever deeper into the logic of war and terror.
By Ukraine’s side, we will continue to do everything to ensure that a just and lasting peace prevails.

I am at the site of a truly horrendous Russian missile attack.
Overnight, one of the largest American investments in Ukraine – Flex – an active member of the American Chamber of Commerce was hit by Russian missiles.
This was not only an attack on Ukraine. It was an attack on American business. Two missiles struck the factory, where 600 employees were working the night shift. Thanks to strict safety protocols, every life was saved.
Russia is not only devastating Ukraine — it is destroying and humiliating American business.
The region neighbors the EU and has been considered the safest region in Ukraine. Now definitely not so.
We call on President Trump to stand with American business and to confront Vladimir Putin’s campaign of destruction.

Today, Donald Trump rolled out the red carpet for authoritarian thug Vladimir Putin. Instead of standing with Ukraine and our allies, Trump stood shoulder to shoulder with an autocrat that has terrorized the Ukrainian people and the globe for years.
While we wait for critical details of what was discussed—on first take it appears Trump handed Putin legitimacy, a global stage, zero accountability, and got nothing in return.
Our fear is that this wasn’t diplomacy—it was just theater.
