Today marks one week until Election Day!
Some of you have already voted. Others are still making up your minds. And I suspect a few of you are so fed up with politics that you'd rather not hear another word about it!
Believe me, I understand.
We aren't all going to agree on what's best for our counties, Illinois, or this country. We're not supposed to agree on everything!
But I worry that all the anger, the political extremes, and the constant fighting have convinced some good people that we're too far gone and their vote won't make a difference.
Please don't believe that.
Your vote matters! Your voice matters! And our country is worth caring about, even when we're frustrated with it.
You don't have to agree with me or anyone else on the ballot. I just hope you'll take the time to make your voice heard.

Members of the Chicago Teachers Union suggest that “the United States government must fall,” adding that all who agree must be “willing to kill and to be killed.”
This is reminiscent of the scene in the movie *I Am Legend* in which the zombies stop fearing the sunlight.

I just infiltrated and recorded a call hosted by the Chicago Teachers Union in the United States with leftist students activists and the teachers helping them in France.
The teachers in the USA are actively coordinating with the unions in France.
And they're calling explicitly for the fall of the United States government.
This is the full, unedited recording of the call, so no one can accuse me of taking things out of context. I will release clips separately.
These are the things @RealAlexJones will never show you, because they didn't mention working with Muslims (they actually made fun of that idea a few times).

In my days on CPD someone would be on the hot seat over a spree like this.
Molly’s Cupcakes in Lincoln Park, Chicago got hit for the fifth time in 20 years.
Last night a crew in a white vehicle smashed into at least 13 businesses along Clark Street around 4 a.m. They yanked cash registers and busted windows and doors with crowbars and sledgehammers before driving off.
No one is in custody.
Ald. Timmy Knudsen called it senseless and said CPD is running special attention and burglary missions. Same line he uses for car thefts and armed robberies.
At least Molly’s still has a sense of humor: “I guess they really wanted some cupcakes!!”
How are these small retailers supposed to survive?

There is great fire here and it is shared by many. However, my only criticism would for @DanProft to mention by name the problematic individual(s).
Many in Illinois blame the @ILGOP as if it is some magical either that has endless power, money, and people one ground, yet does nothing with it. I would argue the blame for most of our problems are in our own mirror.

The state may seem big to the individual, but you can get involved in the county, township, or just your own street.

Mayor Brandon Johnson’s con game continues into its fourth budget.
If Mayor Johnson’s budget is approved, it means his tax and fee increases in office amount to $1.3 billion while his school board has raised property taxes another $857 million.
The burden imposed by Johnson’s tax and fee increases are not on rich corporations, billionaires and millionaires as he claims. It falls on city residents, regardless of income, and on city businesses of all sizes regardless of their income or profits.
Even his so-called progressive spending agenda side is a shell game.
Despite all his big promises, the Mayor has only reopened 3 mental health centers, built only 500 affordable housing units, has barely returned the summer jobs program to pre-COVID levels and his vaunted mental health initiatives has seen a 70% drop in the number of responses.

The Chicago Teachers Union is suing critics over satirical memes about “cooking the books” on member dues.
The court filing calls it a transparent attempt to censor critics and a violation of free speech. Liberty Justice Center is already appealing a ruling that let CTU get away with summaries instead of full audits, and on October 26 moved to dismiss the defamation suit.
New federal filings show less than 19% of CTU spending went to representing teachers, with nearly $2.6 million on politics and raises for leadership.
While Chicago fights over Johnson’s tax-heavy budget that sends hundreds of millions to CPS, the union that helped put him in office is busy suing critics of its own books.
Free speech is only free when it agrees with the CTU.
