I dislike when people celebrate firings of coaches. Yeah it comes with the territory of fandom but at the end of the day it’s still a very personal matter than impact so many.
The year we broke the national record in the 4x400m if people saw how hard them kids worked that year…. Nothing was by accident.

One thing I’ve noticed about youth sports: If a kid develops and reaches the college/pro level, everyone credits their trainer, their club or their coaches. If someone doesn’t develop, they accuse the trainer, club, or coach for not developing them.
Good coaching & training matters, it’s part of the equation. AND there is something much more critical that every athlete has complete control over.
I’ve seen bad players play for great coaches and trainers, and elite players play for bad ones. (imo)
There is only one stakeholder in this equation that is around the athletes 365 days a year, 24 hrs a day, and that is the athlete themselves. (+family)
If you want to be elite, get in the gym and develop! It’s the ONLY common denominator I’ve seen from elite athletes: they pour into themselves!
So much parity in the nil era in college football… it’s almost like now we get to see who the best coaches really are
Jeff Traylor is a 🐐.. UTSA has gotten a steal with this coach.
People think winning is easy. One person blowing their assignment on KIKOFF coverage can lead to a TD..
A person not reacting to a hot read can lead to an INT.
Like there is so much that goes on in a football game that most don’t have a clue
There was a particular elem/ms team that was running through teams years ago in my city. Because they practiced pressing non stop and had a few athletes.
Fast forward years later. 1 out of those 10ish kids are making an impacting on the varsity level.
I thought about that this morning because so many parents got the wrong people coaching/developing their kids and don’t realize it until it’s too late.
10,000 hrs of shooting lol sheesh
Every once in awhile, I get asked to show what Payton’s missed shots look like. My comment is that they look like her makes but didn’t go in.🤣
Here is today’s makes AND misses for those asking. She’s normally a 45% 3 point shooter, don’t expect 68% all the time! @starwalt_payton
Boys on here mad Acuff got the green light and they still gotta ask for bathroom breaks at their job 😂

Im old school when we talk players; I want to talk about winning the first dribble.
That's the players' baseline im looking for first; then we break everything else down. That 1% might not be in this conversation; I get that...those players are special on offense 👊
