Humanity should spend whatever it takes to ensure we can put AI in the hands of every human on Earth.

I believe that not using AI when modeling should be considered negligence. In the near future 1-2 years, this opinion will be considered obvious. like FSD for investment decision making. You can absolutely model by hand if you so choose, but it’s not the smart decision. Every institution will have to grapple with this truth in the coming months.
Idiot VC discovers making up stuff in excel (via Claude)..to be fair he is just putting in numbers Elon is saying that make zero sense.

They’re trying to create a regulatory moat and ban open source to drive everyone into being forced to run only through them. That’s what’s best for them not what’s best for us. It will be game over if this happens. Don’t allow this to happen. Support open source. Reject capture.
🚨BREAKING: OpenAI is preparing a policy and PR blitz immediately after Tuesday’s midterm elections, Axios reports. As public backlash against data centers grows, it wants to rebrand them as “AI compute campuses” and push Congress for mandatory “speed limits” on the most powerful AI systems. It has been stockpiling proposals since August. OpenAI is also preparing for the possibility of Democrats taking the House and wants to shape the debate ahead of the 2028 presidential race. Its chief global affairs officer Chris Lehane told Axios: “AI is going to be the issue in 2028.”

Full HUGE* If True episode on Neuralink and the future of brain computer interfaces I toured @neuralink and got a close up view of their new R1 surgical robot, to see the future they and @elonmusk are building and how it is already changing lives... 00:00 What if you put a chip in your brain? 01:02 What does a human brain feel like? 02:17 How does your brain work? 03:58 Can a brain computer interface read your thoughts? 05:19 How do you get a chip into your brain? 08:07 What’s inside Neuralink’s implant? 10:06 How do you build a brain implant? 11:07 How does robot do brain surgery? 12:20 What could you do with a brain chip? 15:05 How are brain computer interfaces already being used today? 16:07 How are brain chips huge if true?

Ludwig von Mises built the intellectual case against central planning so thoroughly that his critics never actually refuted it. They ignored it, mocked it, then watched the Soviet Union collapse in 1991, confirming every word. His 1920 paper on socialist calculation cut to the bone: without private property and genuine price signals, planners fly blind. Prices carry information no committee can replicate. Kill the market, kill the signal, and you get Soviet bread lines and Venezuelan grocery shelves stripped bare. Mises lived this. He fled Vienna in 1940 with the Nazis closing in, arrived in New York nearly broke, and rebuilt his career at NYU largely without a paid faculty position. The establishment academia of his era dismissed him because he made their Keynesian comfort too expensive to keep. Human Action, published in 1949, remains the most comprehensive defense of individual liberty and market order ever written. You live inside an economy shaped by bad ideas Mises systematically destroyed, but nobody told you.

This might be a hot take, but the real AI divide will not be rich versus poor or young versus old. It will be curious versus afraid. The tools are nearly free and getting better every month. The only thing standing between most people and that leverage is a decision.

If you’re a parent the number one thing you can instill in your child is entrepreneurship. The way many of your parents taught you to move in the world is no longer valid. The job is not promised. There isn’t even “job” anymore. There’s money. And you must make it. Creatively. Using the infinite new tools that are available to you. We’re not in the time where people will be taken care of their entire lives with safe and secure employment. You must move fast, be creative, pivot, carve your life for yourself. You do not need a degree, especially not a nonsense degree, you do not need to go in debt for school, these are procrastinations avoiding what we said earlier. You must be entrepreneurial. You can be a kid in your parents house becoming a millionaire off of Roblox with a little agency and using AI tools while a college grad cries because nobody is giving them a job. Nobody is giving you anything. They don’t need to. It’s not charity. YOU must be the one to use these tools to carve your life. Parents it is your job to teach them this and set them up for success. It’s a new world and you mist adjust all behaviors accordingly.
This is such a bleak story about what it's like to try to land a job right now. nytimes.com/interactive/2026…

Our second product is called Blindsight and it will, as the name suggests, enable even those who are completely blind or have never seen to see. It is ready from an engineering standpoint. Just waiting on regulatory approval.
Neuralink’s first product is called Telepathy. It enables high-speed communication with computers or humans simply by thinking. Output bandwidth will vastly exceed the fastest human speech or typing in a few years. Read that sentence again.

I’m starting to think “AI slop” is just a coping mechanism for mediocre people. For years, being able to write code, design a website, or produce decent content made you valuable. Now a $20 subscription can do much of that. Suddenly everyone is deeply concerned about quality, craftsmanship, and the human touch. Funny how those concerns became so important the moment their skills stopped being scarce. AI isn’t destroying creativity. It’s destroying the ability to charge a premium for mediocrity.

If you look closely enough, breakthroughs in everything are accelerating exponentially. An exponential always starts off looking small.
this might be my last normal tweet before biotech goes vertical i'm not a whistleblower. I don't work at Lilly, Novo or any of the big labs but there is a massive shift happening in human biology right now. it's sitting in press releases and almost nobody reads them the last 6 months alone: - a once-daily pill roughly doubled median survival in metastatic pancreatic cancer (13.2 vs 6.6 months) - a one-time gene editing infusion cut hereditary angioedema attacks 87%, and 62% of patients stayed attack-free and off all other prevention for 6 months - a one-time gene edit for cholesterol dropped LDL up to 62%, and it held for over a year - a personalized mrna vaccine beat keytruda alone in a 1,137 patient melanoma phase 3 - retatrutide hit ~28% weight loss in a phase 3 - an ai-designed drug entered phase 3 - a pill that regrows hair passed its second phase 3 - an immunotherapy that could let some rectal cancer patients skip surgery, chemo and radiation just got fda approved - a man lived 271 days off dialysis on a pig kidney - human cells were caught passing chromosome-sized chunks of DNA to their neighbors, and it changes how the neighbors behave we are on the verge of an era where the human body is a software problem and the update cycle gets shorter everyday stick around, it's going to get weird bio/acc

Our robots built this in the city of Almere: curved walls, different types of bricks and bonds, indented text. Real world deployment, insane complexity, 100% of every brick done by our robots, with another 15 houses to come in the coming weeks.

The length of software tasks AI agents can complete has doubled roughly every 7 months since 2019, and recent models are moving even faster, from 30 seconds of human work in 2022 to a full workday today. Yet inside most companies, AI still isn't trusted to reliably update records in Salesforce. "AI does not have an intelligence problem," says Databricks CEO Ali Ghodsi. "It has a context problem." Ali's answer is what he calls a "system of record for agents." From the latest Profiles of the Future by @bhorowitz and @mikemcg0 on Databricks & the Future of the Firm: a16z.news/p/databricks-and-t…
