The ongoing war in Ukraine has shown that ammunition shortages cost lives. Yet, Canada still struggles to track its own stockpiles and get critical equipment into the hands of our troops. To try to blame Ukraine for our munitions shortages is a cop out. Conservatives support Ukraine and believe we can do more by sending them soon to be decommissioned supplies which saves Canadian taxpayers money. The shortfalls in our inventories is a complete lack of political leadership by the Liberals to quickly procure new munitions and buildup our stockpiles. How does this Liberal government expect our brave men and women in uniform to defend our country without the equipment and ammunition they need?
