The cause of our existence remains an unanswered question with multiple potential explanations. The fact that we are here isn't evidence of anything so much as it is a question. (And one that many very intelligent people have been working on for centuries.)

Our ability to define causal relationships is limited to events in the context of spacetime. Therefore, I have no way of demonstrating that a causal relationship was responsible for the beginning of all causal relationships. This creates an exceptional circumstance.

Right. If science says 'A,' supported by strong evidence 'B-L' and appendix W, Christians say: "Well no, actually, a bronze-age book said 'M'. Just start over and figure out another theory that says 'M'. Thanks!"

The historicity is interesting. Although you have modern examples like Mormonism, Scientology, The Eurantia Book, etc., with the advance of the scientific method, scholarship, and means of recording and recalling observational evidence, god myths have really taken a nosedive.
