Just saw Escape from L.A.
Razorfist was right about this one. It is one of the most underrated, most underappreciated and one of the most misunderstood films of the 90s. Yeah, the CGI animations in this didn’t really blend in all that well but overall it is an underrated gem.
working on this film has been a lot to handle.
thankfully it's almost done. Good lord.
(yes i'm in my own movie, a whooping 10 minutes)
It was phenomenal.
I'm amongst the many few who thinks the way the series ended was quite good. call that a hot take if you will.
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (2004) might be one of the most underrated shows ever.
Rewatching it again and it’s crazy how much this series manages to do without ever feeling like it’s trying too hard. Politics, religion, war, morality, survival, identity, all of it is woven into the story while the characters are constantly changing in ways that actually feel earned.
Adama and Tigh might have one of the greatest friendships in television, and the character arcs for Apollo, Starbuck, Tigh, Baltar and so many others are incredible. Watching these people break, change, make terrible decisions and somehow keep going is what makes the show work.
And having a complete four season story with an actual beginning, middle and end makes it even easier to recommend today.
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA was doing some seriously ambitious television in the 2000s. I really wish more people talked about it like they talk about BREAKING BAD, THE SOPRANOS or THE WIRE.
What’s the most underrated show you’ve ever watched?

I was 18 when my mom woke me up just saying "we're under attack"
now I was barely awake, and had two jobs that day to get to, so as she was explaining what had happened I barely listened, incredibly tired, as I gathered my stuff to head to my first job and do the day all over again.
nothing really hit me until I saw the playback on a screen at work. It would hit me harder as time went on, knowing how much changed that day

The Shadow, Solomon Kane, Pale Rider, Sartana, and The Great Silence, mostly.
Also the book of Acts in the Bible.
@RazorFist so to write this did you just put The Shadow and Deadwood in a blender? Because that’s awesome 😝
