We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence.

In the era of AIxBIO the fix isn’t just compute. We need biological data.
After building years in the field of women’s health I came to the conclusion that we are not going to get far without a serious and focused effort to get this.
We're proposing a new kind of organization with a 5-year field-building plan to close this gap:
→ IP identification across existing ovarian and female health research
→ Systematic data collection and analysis
→ Infrastructure to build robust models for the full landscape of ovarian health diseases
The goal: make sure the AIxBio revolution doesn't slow down because of a blind spot on biology we simply don’t have.
Today we are publishing a thesis for the era of AIxBIO.
Our call to action to decode female biology and generate the sex-specific biological data.
We propose a new research organization to tackle this challenge.

CUA-Lite is just getting started. Our goal is to build a community-driven, open-source ecosystem for computer-use agents.
Contribute today: bring an environment (sandbox + tasks + verifier), traces, or an agent — and plug it into CUA-Lite! 🚀

[5/10] One schema, any dataset, any agent.
LiteSample is CUA-Lite’s unified data schema across desktop, browser, and mobile — spanning environments, agents, and task types. Convert a dataset once, and any agent can train on it.
CUA-Lite has already converted 10+ SFT datasets into LiteSample, alongside fresh rollouts from frontier open-weight CUAs. A lightweight model adapter then transforms each LiteSample into the exact training format each model expects.
The result: one agent’s rollouts can train any other agent.

[4/10] One unified framework for CUA agents: eval, SFT & RL
Lite.Gym provides a unified agent–environment interface, with a standardized action space for each platform — desktop, browser, and mobile — so any agent can run in any environment.
CUA-Lite brings together the agents, rollout loop, sandboxes, and the eval + training stack that consumes those rollouts.
One rollout, three uses:
· Eval — scored by the benchmark’s original evaluator, unchanged
· SFT — converted by each model’s adapter into its native training format
· RL — scored by the task’s verifiable reward, which directly drives RL updates
Same interface. Same rollouts. Eval → SFT → RL.
Erin Jerri Pañgilinan retweeted
[3/10] Computer-use agent resources are fragmented; CUA-Lite is built to close three gaps:
· Frameworks are fragmented — every project rebuilds the same tooling for eval, SFT, and RL: agent loops, sandbox setup, evaluation scripts, and training infrastructure.
· Traces are fragmented — there’s no standard protocol for recording rollouts, so every source uses its own format and one agent’s traces can’t easily train another.
· Agents & Environments are fragmented — every environment exposes its own interface and action space, so an agent built for one doesn't run in another.

Introducing CUA-Lite 🧵 — an open platform for computer-use agents.
Training and benchmarking CUAs (Computer-Use Agents) requires four core pieces:
1️⃣ Agents — the models and the scaffolding that drives them
2️⃣ Environments — runtime/sandboxes for agents to interact with, tasks & verifiers/graders
3️⃣ Traces — records of agent trajectories
4️⃣ Frameworks — to evaluate, SFT & RL-train agents
Today, all four are fragmented.
Every agent ships with its own implementation, often in a separate repo — there is no unified way to run them all. Every environment exposes its own interface and action space, often requiring an expensive VM sandbox for each verifiable task. Traces come in incompatible formats. And without common standards across the stack, every project ends up rebuilding its own tooling/framework for eval, SFT, and RL.
CUA-Lite unifies the stack:
→ One standardized interface & action space for agents and environments
→ One standardized format for agent traces
→ One framework for evaluation, SFT & RL
→ Across desktop, browser & mobile
And open resources plug straight in, creating the largest open collection of CUA agents, environments and traces, all in a unified format:
🤖 10+ CUAs, including GPT, Claude, Gemini, Qwen, Muse-Glimmer, UI-TARS
🌐 15+ benchmarks, including OSWorld, WebArena & AndroidWorld
⚡ Optional VM-free sandboxes with 30K+ verifiable tasks for training
📚 10+ trace datasets, freely available on Hugging Face, including public datasets converted into the standardized format and fresh rollouts from frontier open-weight CUAs
Led by @BerkeleyRDI , our goal is for CUA-Lite to become a community-driven, open-source ecosystem for computer-use agents.
Join the community and contribute today: bring an environment (runtime/sandbox + tasks + verifier), traces, or an agent, and plug it into CUA-Lite!
Astra can create beautiful three.js UIs entirely in code.
You don't need an assets library or MCP to create detailed 3D models. These are all code and are easy to customize for your agent. Give Astra a video, URL, or code reference, then ask it to keep comparing the result against the reference and fixing mistakes.
Liquid Glass, shaders, motion design, procedural three.js models, and full environments. All from a few prompts.
Some prompts I used:
"Recreate this in a single HTML file with three.js. Keep comparing it against the reference and fix any differences."
"Add Liquid Glass buttons. On hover, animate the lighting around the borders and make the background gradients move slightly with the pointer. Add subtle particles."
"Improve the lighting, edges, and modeling. Give the keys more depth and verify the result against the real MacBook."
Too many projects I could open-source. Let me know which one should I release.
It’s incredible how far you can push the UI with Fable 5.1.
This is an interactive children's book that reads the story aloud, uses layered 3D illustrations, and animates every word.
Fable created the concept and story from scratch based on a prompt. You can reuse the result as a template for more children's books, then have Fable voice, animate, and illustrate each one.
I open-sourced ThreeUI, my library of three.js components and landing pages.
160+ are free, and the tool is free too. It includes procedural 3D hero sections, icons, and motion designs. Copy the prompt or source, give it to your agent, then change the theme, lighting, motion or layout.
Live site: threeui.com
Repo: github.com/MengTo/threeui
I'm adding a lot more soon. Pro comes with 50+ extra components, MCP, and skills. Early adopters get 50% off right now.
I'm building a library of three.js templates with variants and customizations. They're all copyable as prompts.
These components are 100–200 KB each and written entirely in procedural js. They also come with skills your agent can use to customize them while keeping them looking amazing.
I've spent so many hours fine-tuning each one with sunrise and sunset themes, plus different locations. I've been using them for all my recent landing pages.
Let me know if I should open-source the tool with both free and paid templates. I've spent so many tokens on this.

I turn 50 today. This is a message to my kids but I offer it to you in case any of it rings useful.
I was born in Sri Lanka in 1976 in a country that, at the time, was about to enter a decades long civil war. My father was able to get stationed at the Sri Lankan High Commission in Canada for four years in the early 80s - when some of the fighting was most severe - and which from our vantage point in Canada gave us some respite from an otherwise omnipresent conflict.
He came as a diplomat but then my father filed for refugee status after four years when his life was threatened by militants. We stayed in Canada as refugees. My dad never really landed on his feet and we grew up on welfare.
My mom stepped up. She did an incredible thing and put our family on her back and kept marching forward. Sometimes the steps were very small but she always tried to keep moving forward.
I worked at Burger King starting at 14, giving my paycheck to my mom and dad to support our family in the role that I was assigned - earn enough to pay for our bus passes because we couldn’t afford a car.
I was a loser growing up. Some friends, some good memories but mostly forgettable and lonely. I wasn’t very studious but did get my act together in my final year and got into a great university.
I immigrated to the US soon after graduating and found an opportunity. Things clicked and I have been traveling a path to find myself ever since. Only in America is this possible…
I worked hard, followed the rules, paid my taxes and stayed in California out of loyalty for the opportunities it has given me despite its dysfunction.
I found my wife here. Had my kids here. Found my tribe here.
There have been some very hard times as well - deaths, divorce, financial pain, mistakes of omission and mistakes of commission. You can’t dwell on these things - they are weights that will pull you down if you’re not careful. Learn from them. Respect them. BUT MOVE ON.
To think 50 years ago I could have ever gotten a chance to meet the people I’ve met and have had the experiences I’ve had would have been mind boggling to my parents. It’s mind boggling to me now.
We forget often and try to convince others it’s not true but America truly is the best country in the world. Everything and anything is possible here. I can testify. Be grateful to be here.
This is the only place that gives EVERYONE a chance to live a great adventure. The first 50 years have been that for me - an incredible adventure.
Notice there is nothing here about accomplishments or money. Because it doesn’t matter and it won’t matter.
You will be dust in less than 100 years from now and the decision to be remembered won’t be yours so stop sweating it. It’s not in your control.
So what is in your control?
Be kind. Have fun. Work on something meaningful to you. Find your tribe. Try to find perspective. Find an incredible partner. Have a bunch of kids. Live an adventure. Forgive your parents - they were doing the best they could even if that wasn’t what you deserved.
I will do what I can to make my next 50 years a wild ride.
You should too.
I love you and thank you. ❤️

1/ gm. gm. Name is Hsin-Ju.
I have a dark, kinda tragic personal announcement.
I've decided I'd rather take $0 than accept a settlement that requires me to stay silent about what happened to me. I have since fired my lawyers at @sanfordheisler & will be releasing all the evidence from my time @hack_vc on Wed 8/26.
INTRO: I've been in crypto for 9 years. Most recently I was a partner & head of platform @hack_vc which is a $600-700M crypto VC firm. Many of you may know me from my time as Head of Growth at @StellarOrg in 2017 (worked w/ the Mt. Gox founder), @Solana in 2018 (joined under ~10 ppl, but quit before my cliff), & @Fhenix in 2024. Or have attended one of my @DystopiaLabs ETH events (2019-now).
Last year, I was forced to work through a serious medical emergency while at @Hack_VC due to threats by @alpackaP @dbulaevsky, saying that they would blacklist me from the space if I quit before finishing the hacksummit conference & side events that I was helping with during @kbwofficial. I was working 13-14hr days, 6 days a week, sleeping 0-4 hrs a night, and had documented Graves' disease, hyperthyroidism, and severe insomnia. I repeatedly asked to quit. Hack VC refused. This + other threats and intimidation went on for almost a month.
The conditions got so bad I attempted suicide.
The fucked up part is that, even after the suicide attempt, I told everyone at Hack VC (in writing) that I had no plans to sue. I was scared & extremely sick. I just wanted to leave. I told them that as long as there was no retaliation or badmouthing - I had no plans to sue.
@Hack_VC chose to retaliate.
After just 1 month after my near suicide, Hack VC mishandled my COBRA health insurance, refused to fix things, kept shooing me to customer support (when it's legally Hack VC's responsibility to fix this), and my insurance had issues and was not fixed for almost 4 MONTHS. Hack VC did not fix everything until I hired lawyers and had them force Hack VC to adhere to the law & fix my COBRA insurance issues. The sheer cruelty of an employer harming someone's health insurance almost immediately after they nearly committed suicide is extremely fucked up.
And, even during the legal engagement, Hack VC continued to lie & attempt to harm me through their lawyers and other employees/partners (multi-million dollar carry & clawbacks can make even the nicest ppl willing to turn the other way or lie). @0xRodney @IsTheBaron @roshunpatel @Alex__Botte.
Now. Almost an entire year of engagement & my near suicide anniversary coming up, our lawyers (mine & Hack VC's) have reached the point of preparing for private mediation and settlement. And...I realized that I just can't do it. I don't want money in exchange for silence. I'd rather speak.
I fired my lawyers yesterday.
In case it needs to be said, I did a good job at Hack VC. I was only there full time for 7 months; been part-time since 2021. I got a $50k raise to $300k, $30k bonus, and promises of additional carry that would have been implemented about a week or so after my last day. I was also offered admission into the GP entity (but not sure if admission was actually completed bc it was during my medical emergency). This + my resume, should show that me suing is not a money grab; I was genuinely harmed.
I'm aware that I'm just one person (who is not rich) facing a $600-700M VC institution. I've been told by @alpackaP that he's known most of the managing partners at most VC firms for almost a decade and he could absolutely blacklist me.
I'm also painful aware that the conclusion of this will probably be extremely poor for me or death - but I've accepted it.
Sharing with other web2 & web3 VCs:
@paulg @ycombinator @500STARTUPS @a16zcrypto @PanteraCapital @dragonflyvc @RaceCapital @hosseeb @haunventures @hiFramework @ElectricCapital @blockchaincap @Delphi_Digital @variantfund @1kxnetwork @archetypevc @shimacapital @robotventures, etc.
TLDR; I’m done with continued threats, pressure, and intimidation. I'm not going to take a payout and allow Alex or Hack VC to walk away from harming me. As mentioned, I'll be dropping the evidence from my case on Wed 8/26 (or before) -- privacy be damned.

Some personal news:
I'm thrilled to announce that I've joined @hack_vc as a partner & head of platform. 8 yrs in crypto = a lifetime.
It all started in 2017 when a random recruiter slid into my DMs and told me about a job at @StellarOrg. I took a call with @JedMcCaleb (founder of Mt.Gox, Ripple, and Stellar) & Brit (co-founder of Lightyear).
That was where I learned about (and fell in love with) crypto. I decided right then and there that I was going to enter the space whether they hired me or not. So 😂-- I offered Stellar a 1 month contract and told them they could pay me whatever they wanted, but that I was going to perform so well that they'd want to hire me at the end of the contract.
Obviously, they accepted.
1 month later, they promoted me to head of growth & my crypto journey began.
After I left Stellar, @edithyeung & @chrismccann introed me to @rajgokal @toly from @solana. I met them very, very early when Solana was still at the whitepaper stage and had just gotten accepted into @500GlobalVC. I was with them as their head of growth till right before they launched their testnet.
Then, after that, I did a short stint at Tezos (😅), burned out, and decided to found my own startup @DystopiaLabs which was focused around building dev ecosystems + running events. I made a lot of good frens & threw a total of 17 ETH conferences around the world.
Special thanks to @clairekart @Cameron_Dennis_ @ekang426 @Minittowinit @levychain @Sim_Pop @YalorMewn @VanessaGrellet_ @cryptomastery_ @StaniKulechov @LukeYoungblood @beechainstack @pet3rpan_ @marek_ @sui414 and so, so many more for supporting or speaking at our events over the yrs 🙏♥️
Most recently, I was @fhenix which is an FHE infrastructure project created by @guyitz @GuyZys. I joined when the whitepaper was released & was with them till their second testnet. TLDR I'm very bullish on the future of the FHE category & knowing the team -- think they're very well positioned to succeed 🚀.
As for what’s next...
I'll be diving head first into venture capital 👀.
If you're a founder or a dev working on cool shit, I'll be in SF for @ethereumsf & the Stanford AI Summit. Slide into my DMs if you'd like to catch up (or want some marketing feedback) ✨

We’ve decided to open-source a multi-agent harness we use internally at YC.
We call it “QM” and it’s meant to be easy to customize, like Hermes or OpenClaw, but useful for a whole company. We use it across accounting, legal, events, and engineering (including building QM itself!).
The whole project is under an MIT license. It is cloud-first and has Slack and web UI natively.
