I have said it before on a show. If Agriculture is what we decide to invest in.... We would be richer than most countries. We just don't take anything serious here.

Under the Child Right Act (Section 27) and Laws of different States passed to protect children, it is unlawful to take a child out of custody or protection of the parents or guardians without their knowledge or against their will. In fact, the Child Rights Act and Children protection laws prescribe upto 7-10years and 15-20years jail term for anyone found guilty of this. Also, under the Nigerian Constitution, Section 39, which guarantees right to freedom of religion forbids the spread of religious instructions against the will of that person or religious practices that are not approved by the parents or guardians. None of the above has any root in Shariah Law and No Shariah Court has jurisdiction over such offenses. Then I wonder where the people got the news from that the Borno woman was tried before a Shariah Court and under Shariah Law, to the extent that some of you here started attacking Islam/Shariah and by extension, the Muslims. Again, no Shariah Court has power over non-Muslims. No non-Muslim can be arraigned or tried before a Shariah Court, except such non-Muslims submit to the jurisdiction of the Court in writing. No doubt, we have had instances and cases of extremists under the guise of enforcing shariah take laws into their hands. They are not different from those who carry out jungle justice in other parts of the country. No law in Nigeria empowers a private person or citizens to make laws or execute laws without following the laid down legal processes or allowing the lawful authorities to do so. The closest we have under our laws is the power of private person to arrest upon reasonable suspicion of crime being committed or escape from lawful custody. In doing so, the private person is mandated to handover the arrested person to the lawful authorities and not take laws into their hands, It is also important to note that the existence of shariah court and its jurisdiction is clearly provided for under the Supreme Law in Nigeria, the Constitution and laws made by different states. This does not by any extension suppress the existence and application of the Constitution and other laws in the States. I have also said it repeatedly that any group of individual under the guise of any religion, including Islam, that wants to practice its religion and laws, must do so within the bounds of the existing legal system and the Constitution. Enough of propaganda. Enough of anti-shariah narratives.

If you have not put your personal affairs out there, especially on this app, please desist from doing that. There is no wisdom in it, for whatever reason you might want to. At first, it might seem like you are just doing your thing; sharing freely, living openly, or simply expressing yourself. But on a deeper reflection, there is no good return for it. There are so many people out there who walk around carrying hatred, evil minds, misfortunes, and personal frustrations. They are often looking for something, anything, to use against you, or waiting for the slightest chance to twist your personal affairs and score cheap points in a public discussion. Once it is out there, you no longer control how it is received or used. Protect yourself.

Good afternoon, Hon. Minister @DrTunjiAlausa. 🙏 Today marks 40 days since my open letter seeking your urgent intervention over the injustice faced by long-serving ad-hoc staff at Federal Polytechnic, Ede. Still, no response from your office or the institution. For over 5 years, more than 40 of us taught multiple courses every semester, supported NBTE accreditation (@NBTENigeria) and filled critical staffing gaps—all for a mere ₦50,000 monthly stipend. We were repeatedly assured our sacrifices would count when permanent employment became available. Yet, none of us was employed. Worse, my September stipend remains unpaid. When I sought an explanation, I was told it was withheld because I reported the matter to your office. If this account is accurate, it raises grave concerns about possible victimisation. Is seeking justice now a punishable offence? Let me be clear: we are NOT demanding automatic employment. We are demanding fairness, transparency, merit and due process. Behind every ad-hoc staff member is a family, bills to pay and years of sacrificed career growth. One colleague reportedly died while invigilating examinations without benefits. Another recently faced such desperate hardship that colleagues had to contribute money to support him. Hon. Minister, these are human lives, not just employment statistics. How long must we wait? I respectfully appeal to you and all relevant authorities to: 1️⃣ Order an independent investigation into the recruitment exercise. 2️⃣ Review the exclusion of long-serving ad-hoc staff. 3️⃣ Investigate the alleged withholding of my stipend and protect staff from possible victimisation. I have exhausted internal channels. I am appealing publicly because I desperately need this matter to receive the attention it deserves. @KashimSM @officialSKSM @NigEducation @NigeriaStories @officialABAT @NGRPresident @Suwaiba_Said @LeadershipNGA @MobilePunch @GuardianNigeria @HouseNGR @Speaker_Abass @markbonu @MuktarShagaya @honfaleke @akinalabi @officialEFCC @icpcnigeria @LabourMinNG @NLCHeadquarters @sowore @ThatVeryDarkMan @fisayosoyombo @KemPatriot @BTOofficial @IPNEducation Five years of service must not end in silence, neglect and possible retaliation. We seek justice, not favours. Merit, not connections. Due process, not victimisation. Hon. Minister, please hear our cry and intervene urgently. Our livelihoods, dignity and future are at stake. #JusticeForAdhocStaff #FederalPolyEde #MeritNotConnections #FairRecruitment #EducationNigeria #DueProcess #Accountability
🚨 OPEN APPEAL: JUSTICE FOR THE AD-HOC STAFF OF FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC, EDE What happens when you give 5 years of your life to a Federal institution, teaching 4 courses a semester, plugging a massive staff shortage. carry its workload on ₦50,000 monthly, and then get told by action, not words that your sacrifice doesn't matter especially when it’s time for employment? This is my story as a long-serving Ad-hoc Staff of Federal Polytechnic, Ede. Note: I am not putting this out as an activist nor do I seek to become a whistleblower, I am doing this because I have exploited every opportunity to reach out to school management and educational stakeholders but yields no result. Please help read & RT. 🧵👇

Honourable Minister, I wish to draw your attention to the employment exercise recently concluded at Federal Polytechnic Ede. Concerns have been raised that the process was characterised by nepotism, resulting in the neglect of long-serving ad-hoc staff who have served the institution faithfully for many years. I kindly request your intervention in this matter. Thank you, Sir.
I was disappointed yesterday. At the Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF) National University Advancement Programme Forum, only 18 Vice Chancellors were in the room. Of our 78 Federal Universities, only 30 participated in the FME-NHEF Advancement Programme in the first place. For something this important to the future and financial sustainability of our universities, we must do better. Since assuming office, I have urged universities to strengthen their Advancement Offices and diversify funding. The truth is: no university can survive on government funding alone. Our universities are sitting on enormous opportunities through their alumni, research grants, philanthropy, endowments and private-sector partnerships. Yet too many have deprioritised the very structures needed to unlock them. So today, I gave our Vice Chancellors a clear directive: rebuild and properly staff your Advancement Offices. Place them directly under the Office of the Vice Chancellor. Give your advancement professionals the stability, access and support they need, and fully utilise the training and platform being provided by NHEF. This is no longer a suggestion. It is a mandate. President @officialABAT, GCFR has made it clear that this administration will not renege on its commitment to education. However, finding new sources of funding is also part of the responsibility of every Vice Chancellor. Blended financing is the way forward. Research grants. Alumni. Philanthropy. Private-sector investment. Endowment funds. This is the path towards greater university autonomy. We are not reinventing the wheel. We will take what works globally, adapt it to Nigeria and build institutions that can thrive for generations. I extend my thanks to Mr. Wale Adeosun, the Founder & CEO of Kuramo Capital Management and the NHEF team for their continued partnership with the Federal Ministry of Education and commitment to re-establish and strengthen Advancement Offices across our Federal Universities. To our Vice Chancellors: the era of waiting for government to fund everything must end. Build the structures. Mobilise the resources. Strengthen your institutions. That is your responsibility, and it must become part of your legacy.

The biggest challenge facing the agricultural sector so far this year is socio-economic uncertainty, especially due to unpredictable government policies. Already, many farmers & agro-investors are either scaling down or pulling out. And for a stable Agro sector growth,
Government policies are just dragging everybody backward, and we are adjusting to a new reality every single day. Before Tinubu came to power, I used to earn above ₦1.5 million from my two side hustles, today, both hustles have been grounded.

*Adewoye loses home support: Awoyale dumps APC, signals PDP sweep for Saheed Popoola in Igbomina* Awoyale, who is also the leader of Orisun Igbomina, shares the same town and ward with the APC Kwara South Senatorial candidate, Lekan Adewoye The All Progressives Congress in Kwara South has suffered a major setback in its stronghold as Chief Gbenga Awoyale, a leading APC stalwart from Arandun, resigned from the party. In a letter dated 02/09/2026 to the APC Ward Chairman, Arandun Ward, Irepodun LGA, Awoyale said he was quitting with immediate effect over “lack of internal democracy” in the party. “I hereby formally resign my membership of the All Progressives Congress effective immediately,” he wrote. “The current leadership of the party has fallen short of the principles of good governance, collective unity and internal democracy on which the APC was built.” Awoyale, who is also the leader of Orisun Igbomina, shares the same town and ward with the APC Kwara South Senatorial candidate, Lekan Adewoye. Political sources said the development could tilt the 2027 permutations in Kwara South, with indications that Awoyale may be aligning with Prince Popoola Saheed of the PDP. “Losing a mobilizer like Awoyale in the candidate’s own town is a big blow,” to the aspiration of Prince Lekan Adewoye, this means that, even in Arandun the vote will be divided between Adewoye and Popoola because Awoyale exit is a big disadvantage to Adewoye aspiration In the letter, Awoyale said he “remains committed to my people.” – at Ilorin, Nigeria

1. Who is their employer? Who will be paying them? What's the salary structure like? 2. Who's going to train them? 3. What rules and regulation binds them? In which constitution is it written? 4. Will they be armed? How will the ammunitions be accounted for 5. What is the scope and limit of their operations and jurisdictions? If all these and more are not defined, it will lead to chaos.
