My girlfriend stopped having sex with me to teach me a lesson, but three months later, she was the one crying when I finally explained what had changed. It started because I was always tired after work. I'd come home, kiss her forehead, eat whatever we had, and fall asleep. I thought I was doing nothing wrong. I was working hard, paying bills, and trying to build a future for us. But apparently, I was neglecting her. At first, she complained that I barely touched her anymore. She said she missed feeling desired, and I promised to do better. For a few days, I made an effort. Then work became stressful again, and I slipped back into my routine. That's when everything changed. Whenever I tried to initiate sex, she'd turn away and say she wasn't in the mood. The first few times, I didn't think much of it. Everyone has those days. But after two weeks, I started noticing a pattern. She still dressed beautifully when we went out. She still laughed at my jokes, sent me funny videos, and asked what I wanted for dinner. But whenever I touched her waist or kissed her neck, she'd gently remove my hand. One night, I asked whether something was wrong. She looked at me and said, "Nothing. I'm just not in the mood." I accepted it and went to sleep. A month passed. Then another.

There’s a theory that Captain America could have fully lifted Mjolnir in Age of Ultron but chose not to, just to spare Thor’s feelings. If that’s true, it makes the Endgame scene even more powerful when Thor is on the ground, Thanos standing over him, and Steve arrives wielding Mjolnir. Thor looks up and says, “I knew it!”

THE WIFE WHO STOPPED ASKING FOR MONEY A husband became suspicious when his wife suddenly stopped asking him for money. For years, she had reminded him about groceries, school fees, electricity bills, and their children's needs. He often complained that she was too demanding. Then one month, she stopped asking. She started cooking simpler meals, stopped buying things for herself, and quietly took extra work from home. He was delighted. "Finally, you've learned how to manage money," he told her. She smiled without responding. One evening, he returned home and discovered that their youngest child's school had sent a notice about unpaid fees. He confronted his wife. "Why didn't you tell me?" She looked exhausted. "I told you three times last month. You said I was always asking for money." He had no answer. She continued. "So I stopped asking. I used what I had to cover what I could." He looked at the unpaid bills scattered across the table. For the first time, he understood that her silence hadn't meant everything was fine. It meant she had stopped believing he would listen. He sat beside her and asked what they needed to do first. She handed him the bills. "Let's start by paying attention." Sometimes, a person doesn't stop complaining because the problem has disappeared. They stop because they no longer believe their voice matters. In a marriage, what is more damaging: constant arguments or the silence that comes after someone gives up trying?

HE DISCOVERED WHY HIS WIFE VISITED THE HOSPITAL EVERY FRIDAY Every Friday, a woman left home early and returned several hours later. Her husband eventually became suspicious. "Where do you go every week?" "To take care of something important," she replied. He assumed she was hiding something from him. One Friday, he decided to follow her. He watched her enter a children's hospital carrying a bag of food and books. Confused, he followed her inside. There, he saw his wife sitting beside a little boy, helping him eat. She was laughing with him, reading stories, and wiping his face with a tissue. When she stepped outside, her husband approached her. "Who is that child?" She looked startled. Then she explained that the boy had been abandoned by his relatives and had no one who visited him regularly. She had met him months earlier while accompanying a neighbor to the hospital. Since then, she had visited every Friday. "Why didn't you tell me?" her husband asked. She looked at him quietly. "Because the first time I mentioned helping a child in need, you told me we had enough problems of our own." He remembered saying it. He had been so focused on their bills and responsibilities that he had forgotten how much compassion meant to her. The following Friday, he accompanied her to the hospital. He brought toys, books, and enough food for the children on the ward. His wife held his hand as they walked inside. Sometimes, love isn't just about what two people do for each other. It's also about whether they can support the good things the other person wants to do. Would you support your partner spending time and money helping someone outside your family, even when your own finances are tight?

i'm a late-night bus shelter cleaner, and my one rule is that i never throw out a note left on the bench. people write things when they think nobody's reading. last tuesday at 1am, a woman in a nurse's coat sat down next to my cart, folded her hands, and said, "i left a note here last week. i'd like it back. i know that's strange."...

My husband stood beside my hospital bed, holding our newborn daughter, and told me he needed a DNA test because he couldn’t believe the baby was his. I was still bleeding from childbirth when he made that accusation. What I didn’t know was that he had already made plans for his life without me, and the DNA test was only the beginning of what he intended to take away. I had been married to Daniel for six years. We had spent almost four of those years trying to have a child. I endured fertility appointments, hormone injections, miscarriages, and months of pretending I was fine whenever another friend announced a pregnancy. Daniel used to hold me whenever I cried. “One day, we’ll have our baby,” he would whisper. “And when that day comes, I’ll make sure you forget everything you went through.” I believed him. When I finally got pregnant, I was so afraid of losing the baby that I barely allowed myself to celebrate. Daniel attended appointments with me, rubbed my swollen feet, and spoke to my stomach every night before bed. He told everybody that I was the strongest woman he knew. When our daughter was born, I thought the years of heartbreak were finally behind us. Then, while I was lying in the hospital bed, exhausted and struggling to sit up, Daniel looked at our baby and said, “I want a DNA test.” At first, I thought I had misunderstood him. “What?” “I need to be sure she’s mine.” I stared at him, waiting for him to laugh or explain that he was making some terrible joke. He didn’t. “Daniel, you were there when the doctor confirmed the pregnancy. You know what we went through to have this baby.” He looked away. “People have been telling me things. I don’t want to raise another man’s child.” Another man’s child. I had spent years injecting medication into my body, crying over negative pregnancy tests, and praying that I would one day become a mother. Now, the man who had watched me endure all of it was looking at me as though I had betrayed him. I started crying, and he placed our daughter in the bassinet before stepping away from the bed. “I’ll arrange the test when we get home,” he said. Then he walked out of the room. He didn’t kiss my forehead. He didn’t ask whether I needed anything. He didn’t even look back at our daughter. I spent the next hour staring at the ceiling, wondering how the happiest day of my life had become the most humiliating. But the worst betrayal wasn’t the accusation. It was what I discovered when I got home.

If you were wondering who the two were, well, out of the 20 people who left Asura as Ariel's escorts on her way to the kingdom of Ranoa, only 4 arrived alive. Those were Sylphiette, Luke, Elmore Bluewolf, and Kleene Elrond, in addition to Ariel, of course. All the others were dying along the way due to the constant attacks that Grabell, through Darius, launched to end Ariel's life. In the end, in the dark timeline, they also had a tragic end. And before they leave with their conspiracies, the novel says that Ariel would be executed, but only her accomplices would be exposed to the public. Although the novel doesn't explain why, we can deduce that, being a princess with the Asura surname, they probably wanted to further tarnish the image of the royal family. In all kingdoms, betrayal is paid with death, so possibly Ariel had not yet been executed or her body simply not made public after her execution. In the end, she was a woman who could do a lot of harm if she remained alive.

‘THE VOICEMAILS’ My dad never said "I love you." Not once in 22 years. He's Mexican-American. Works at a car wash in Phoenix. Tough guy. Hands cracked from soap. Says "Be good" when he means "I love you." When I moved to Seattle for my first tech job at 23, I was lonely. I called him every night at 9 PM. He never picked up. He was at work. So I left voicemails. Every night. "Hey Dad, work was hard today. I miss home." "Hey Dad, I cooked beans but it doesn't taste like yours." "Hey Dad, my boss yelled at me. I almost cried in the bathroom." I left 127 voicemails in 6 months. He never replied. Just texted "Be good." I got mad. I stopped calling in January. Last week, my mom called crying. "Come home. Your dad had accident at car wash. Chemical in eyes. He can't see for 2 weeks." I flew to Phoenix. Dad had bandages over his eyes. Sitting in dark living room. I was sitting with him when his old cracked Samsung phone rang. My voicemail tone. I said "Dad, your phone, want me to delete? It's probably spam." He said "No. Don't touch. Play loud." I played the latest voicemail. It was from me from 4 months ago. "Hey Dad, I got promoted..." He smiled in the dark. My mom came in and whispered, "He listens to them every night at 9 PM. All 127. On loudspeaker. While eating. He knows them by heart. He makes me play them when you're not calling." I opened his phone. Recents. No calls except me. Voicemail app: 127 voicemails. All saved. All played. The oldest from 6 months ago: "Hey Dad, work was hard today..." He had listened to that one 41 times. I said "Dad, why didn't you ever call back?"

Our office in Calgary has one fridge on the third floor and one rule, on a laminated sign: "Label your food. Clear it out on Fridays." Nobody follows it. Last February, a note appeared on a tub of Greek yogurt. "To whoever keeps eating my blueberry yogurt: I know it's you. Please stop. – D." The next morning, there was a reply taped underneath, in red pen. "I have never touched your yogurt. I'm a raspberry person. Maybe check your own fridge discipline." By Wednesday there were eleven notes on the fridge door. Two people from marketing had picked sides. Someone in HR made a spreadsheet. It was Dave from accounts against a stranger who signed every note "– P." Neither knew who the other was, and each was convinced the other was the thief. On the third Monday, a new note appeared that had nothing to do with yogurt. It said: "Why are you always here at 8 PM?" Dave stood in front of the fridge in his winter coat, still holding his lunch bag, and read it three times...

My concern with Avengers: Doomsday is that bringing back familiar heroes could become more important than giving them something meaningful to do. Nostalgia is powerful. Seeing beloved characters return can make an audience emotional before the story has even begun. But that emotion will not last if the characters exist only to generate reactions. Doctor Doom needs to force the Avengers into decisions that reveal who they have become, not simply give them another reason to stand together for a final battle. The best crossover is not the one with the most recognizable faces. It is the one where every character matters to the outcome.

I hooked up with my neighbor’s son. He’s 22, tall, built, and always polite when he sees me. One afternoon his parents were out. I waved him over, invited him inside, and twenty minutes later he had me bent over my own couch with his thick cock buried deep inside me. I’d watched him for months the way his shirts clung to his chest, the quiet confidence in how he moved. That day I opened the door in a short dress, no panties, already wet. He stepped inside. I closed the door, looked at him, and said, low, “I’ve been soaked thinking about you. Do you want to stay and fuck me?” He nodded, eyes dark. The air changed immediately.
A secret you've never told anyone.
