Very disappointing from someone I thought highly of. I might become a single issue voter, b/c whether you support or oppose data centers nicely encapsulates your general intelligence & political courage & likely correlates with support for other wise policies.
BREAKING: I just signed an Executive Order implementing the strictest standards in the nation for AI data centers — because I will not allow Pennsylvanians to be bullied by greedy developers and bulldozed by the lawyers working for these big tech companies. Effective immediately, we’re requiring AI data centers to commit to strict environmental and transparency requirements AND receive approval from the local community if they want to build here. That’s not all: We’re also removing ALL data centers from our Fast Track permit program and stopping any office or agency under my jurisdiction from signing an NDA with AI data center developers.  I’m putting these developers on notice and letting them know that we will not let them bully Pennsylvanians, disregard our constitutional right to clean air and pure water, and drive up our utility bills. I’m using the full weight of my executive authority to block the objectionable, unwarranted projects and put the nation’s strictest set of protections in place.

I’m sorry, this is hilarious: @baltimoresun today refers to The Banner as a “small local online-only news outlet.” 😂😂😂 The Banner now has FAR more newsroom staff than The Sun, and even its local Baltimore Sun Media Group and Spotlight on Maryland outfit combined

No one is more annoyed by the AI revolution than people who can actually write a sentence. Basically, having any ability to write now is suspect - you will get accused of being AI at some point. It feels like you are being accused of being a witch, of holding a type of rare magic that only the machines are now allowed to have.

I hope the choices you make this weekend are as good as the baseball fans in from Japan whose first meal in town was two Chicago style hot dogs and cheese fries with giardiniera.

“We should regulate and ban modern guns because when the founders wrote the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms they meant muskets” … “We should regulate and ban muskets”
A musket from 1776 can fire a lead ball at a velocity of around 1,000 feet per second. Imagine what that can do to a human body. Yet under federal and most state laws, it’s exempt from gun regulations. Many antique or replica guns aren’t considered firearms and even convicted felons can own them.

Thanks for the history lesson on Stouffer’s Spinach Souffle! Growing up, it was my dad's go-to side dish when he grilled steaks. Always looked forward to it; and wondered "Why don't all vegetables taste this good?"
