A shocking incident has emerged from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, where a 35-year-old Delhi government employee, Shashank Kanthariya, was allegedly attacked by his wife’s gym trainer while he was sleeping beside his young daughter. According to police, Shashank discovered his wife Priya Sharma’s alleged relationship with gym trainer Pratap Singh in September 2026. He reportedly confronted her and planned to move to Delhi after Diwali. On October 26, the trainer allegedly entered their home in Vasundhara and stabbed Shashank multiple times. His daughter woke up during the attack, and her cries alerted neighbours. According to police & local reports, the woman’s family allegedly caught the couple together and confined the young man inside a house, where he was assaulted by the woman’s father and maternal uncle. The situation reportedly took an even more disturbing turn when the young man’s father was summoned to the spot. According to preliminary police findings, the family allegedly handed him a firearm and threatened him with a horrifying ultimatum: either sh*ot his own son or walk naked through the streets. The father and son were subsequently allegedly stripped and paraded in public. The young man’s friend was also reportedly assaulted and subjected to similar humiliation. A video purportedly showing the incident circulated on social media, triggering anger among local residents. The incident also led to tension in the locality, with some angry residents allegedly attempting to vandalise the woman’s house. Police intervened to bring the situation under control. Kolkata Police arrested three people in connection with the incident, including the woman’s father and maternal uncle. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway. In Andhra Pradesh, a woman named Ediga Anamma murdered a mother and her child in 1971. Both the trial court and the High Court sentenced her to death, but the Supreme Court later commuted her death sentence to life imprisonment. Then there is Shabnam from Uttar Pradesh. In 2008, she murdered seven members of her own family with the help of her lover. She was sentenced to death by the lower courts, and the Supreme Court upheld the death sentence. A 16-year-old girl allegedly hired goons to brutally torture her 19-year-old ex-boyfriend, resulting in his death. According to reports, 19-year-old Tejinder Singh had discovered that the girl was involved with several boys, following which he decided to end their relationship. Angered by the breakup, the girl allegedly took this horrific step. He was attacked on September 18 and died while on ventilator support on September 29, according to his family. According to Tejinder's family, he had been in a relationship with the girl for around three years. His mother Narinder said the family had initially opposed the relationship and had advised her son to stay away from the girl. The family claims that around three months before the incident, Tejinder came to know that the girl was also allegedly in contact with other youths. Following this, he decided to end the relationship and began keeping his distance from her. According to his family, the girl was unhappy with his decision to end the relationship. According to Tejinder's sister, the girl allegedly called him to meet her at Bhusa village on September 18. The family claims that several youths were present at the location when Tejinder arrived and that they attacked him. The police detained the minor on September 23 in connection with the case. According to Tejinder's family, the girl told the police during questioning that she had paid the youths to break his hands and legs, but had not instructed them to kill him or strike him on the head. And this is not the first incident of its kind. Several other cases have also come to light in which girls have allegedly attacked boys because they were unable to handle rejection.
