Reduce these dangerous levels of pollution at stokey schools as a matter of urgency please @mayorofhackney and then think about sending more traffic past them
These are the readings over the month. Does this school look like it needs thousands more vehicles and more pollution? It looks to me like a school that needs pollution reduction ASAP. Peaks of 100 in the middle of a playground are not good for children’s health @jonburkeUK
@Breathe_London monitor at our school is showing worryingly high readings of no2 since they started back at school. Legal limit is 40, but in the last 24 hours it’s peaked at 100 at lunch play. And that’s not a roadside reading - that’s the middle of the playground!
We certainly livened up the dull day with our rainbow racetrack. So nice to see kids racing about in a traffic and pollution free street. Can we have these more often please @mayorofhackney? @AirTeamUK

So much fun and can’t count the number of people who said “wish it could be like this every day!”
#carfreeday is coming to stokey this Sunday! Can you imagine Church st with no cars? It’s a picturesque street with so many lovely shops and cafes. It would be a great place to hang out and enjoy lunch /coffee in the fresh air, if it’s wasn’t so hectic and polluted. We can dream!
