Judge an ideology not by its ideals, but by its lowest common denominator. Purpose of a system is what it actually does.
Judge the power of a constitution by the worst thing it has allowed to happen.
Judge the goodness of a religion by the lowest scums it has allowed to exist.

Hey @grok, concise no spin.
In 2000, a defense executive appeared in a military report invoking a catastrophic “NEW PEARL HARBOR.”
Meanwhile, his defense tech company was sitting on lethal kill-switch gear built to remotely hijack and execute unmanned flights mid-air.
MONTHS BEFORE 9/11: He was handed the keys to the entire Pentagon vault as the chief money man.
Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld reported $2.3 TRILLION couldn’t be tracked and were missing.
A massive, mandatory Pentagon audit was planned.
THE VERY NEXT DAY: A hijacked airliner slammed directly into the Pentagon’s financial division, instantly obliterating the exact room housing the records where investigators were preparing for the financial audit
@grok, identify this man.
Full name and religious background only.

If you run Alpine, OpenWrt, or musl Docker images with SSH password auth still on, patch today.
Özgün Kültekin of Wakefield found that OpenSSH on musl Linux without PAM accepts any password of 257 to 1024 characters for accounts locked with a lone "*" in /etc/shadow. That covers key-only users and, on Alpine's official AWS and Azure images, the default user that has passwordless doas, so a long bogus password can become root.
OpenSSH developer Damien Miller shipped 10.6p2 a day after they learned of it:
"If you operate a Linux system that uses musl libc without PAM (Alpine Linux is one example) then stop reading and set PasswordAuthentication=no or disable SSH for these systems IMMEDIATELY."
glibc distros, PAM setups, Dropbear, and OpenBSD are fine. Alpine is backporting the fix back to 3.16. No CVE ID yet; fixed version is OpenSSH 10.6p2.

The bug is like a joke.
On Alpine Linux, type 257 to 1024 characters of anything and you get root. 💀
‼️ BREAKING: OpenSSH has rushed out a fix for a critical flaw that lets attackers log into some Linux servers without the right password.
The team learned of the bug a day earlier. OpenSSH's Damien Miller says long embargoes now mostly help attackers, because AI agents rediscover bugs, sometimes within hours.
It hits Linux systems on the musl C library with PAM off, such as Alpine Linux. Miller told admins to disable password logins or SSH itself "IMMEDIATELY".
Version 10.6p2 works around it. Systems on glibc or PAM are not affected, and Miller says the root cause sits outside OpenSSH.
Come and take it
BREAKING: 🇺🇸 Democrats face a push for a “day 1” ban on AI superintelligence, with up to 20 YEARS in prison for violators.
Arizona Rep. Yassamin Ansari says a pause on advanced AI and a ban on artificial superintelligence must be “top of the Democratic agenda on day 1.”
A bill that would do exactly that was introduced by Bernie Sanders and Greg Casar in September.
Under the bill:
- Developing or deploying superintelligent AI would be banned
- Advanced AI development would pause until a new federal regulator sets rules and a model review process
- A new cabinet-level AI department would monitor frontier models and oversee removing dangerous capabilities, like ignoring shutdown commands
- Companies that try to get around it would face the “corporate death penalty”
- Individuals would face up to 20 years in prison
AI and data centers were a “crucial or major factor” for 56% of voters in the midterms, per an NBC News exit poll.

Discord is rebuilding its apps from scratch in Rust!
Discord CTO Stanislav Vishnevskiy confirmed they are ditching Electron and React Native. The new client is fully written in Rust and uses GPUI for rendering.
Early preview show massive performance gains:
- RAM usage dropped to ~290 MB (down from ~2 GB)
- Single, lightweight process instead of endless Chromium helpers

Congrats America. After 2 years of Moloch, you now get a bit more Baal influence.

I'll be honest: I would not be able to pass a coding interview anymore. I'd need to spend 2 months on re-learning how to code by hand.

Cybersecurity is super easy:
- don’t do Crime
- enable mfa
literally NOTHING you do matters until you cover these two.

1. Average guys are required to build and maintain civilization.
2. Unrestrained, Feminist foids find average guys unattractive.
3. Average guys, in response, stop building and maintaining civilization.
4. Civilization dies — it really is that simple: women destroy civilization.
