I lived a couple blocks away from Kent Hrbek growing up in Bloomington. He gave away King Size Reece's Peanut Butter Cups AND autographed pictures.

Troy Aikman says he forgot Halloween candy and handed out autographed cards instead, then remembered the candy the next year and somehow disappointed the kids Aikman: “One year for Halloween, I got home from practice. I was single, was at the house, totally forgot it was Halloween. And all of a sudden, I had kids coming to my door. I had no candy.” “And I was like, ‘Oh man,’ I felt like an absolute loser. So these card companies would send me my football cards, and it’s all I could think of. So I pull out these cards and I just signed them for the kids as they came to the door, sign a card and hand it to them.” Dale: “They’re kids and that’s normally who wants those.” Aikman: “Yeah. And so then the next year I got smart and I was prepared and I had candy. And then I had more kids that came to my door than I had the year before, and I’m handing them out candy, and they’re like, ‘Oh man, we want the autographed football card.”
