Does anyone remember this amazing story? On July 2, 1982, a truck driver from California flew 16,000 feet into the sky in a lawn chair. Larry Walters, 33, from San Pedro, had dreamed of flying his whole life. He bought 42 eight-foot helium weather balloons, tied them to a regular Sears lawn chair, strapped on a parachute, packed a BB gun to pop balloons to descend, a CB radio, sandwiches, and a six-pack of beer.
He expected to float a few hundred feet above his backyard. He cut the rope and shot up like a rocket — to 16,000 feet. He drifted directly into the main approach path for LAX. Two airline pilots radioed the tower: they had just passed a man in a lawn chair holding a gun at 16,000 feet. For 45 minutes, he floated over Los Angeles, freezing cold, too scared to shoot balloons because he might fall. Finally, he started popping balloons one by one and slowly descended.
He landed tangled in power lines in Long Beach, California, causing a blackout. When police arrested him, they asked why he did it. He said, "A man can't just sit around." The FAA fined him $4,000. He became a national folk hero — Lawnchair Larry — and inspired the movie Up.

HISTORY LESSON ON YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY CARD:
Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn’t know this. It’s easy to check out, if you don’t believe it. Be sure and show it to your family and friends. They need a little history lesson on what’s what and it doesn’t matter whether you are Democrat or Republican. Facts are FACTS.
Up until the 1980's, Social Security cards expressly stated the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes.
Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the "NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION" message was removed.
Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program. His promises are in black, with updates in brackets.
1.) That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary [No longer voluntary],
2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual Incomes into the Program [Now 7.65% on the first $90,000, and 15% on the first $90,000 if you’re self-employed],
3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year [No longer tax deductible],
4.) That the money the participants put into the independent ‘Trust Fund’ rather than into the general operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program [Under Johnson the money was moved to the General Fund and spent], and
5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income [Under Clinton & Gore up to 85% of your Social Security can be taxed].
Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month — and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to ‘put away’ — you may be interested in the following:
Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent ‘Trust Fund’ and put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically controlled House and Senate.
Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
A: The Democratic Party.
Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the ‘tie-breaking’ deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the US
AND MY FAVORITE:
Q: Which Political Party decided to start giving annuity payments to immigrants?
A: That’s right! Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party. Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!
Now, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!
And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it! If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe changes will evolve. Maybe not, though. Some Democrats are awfully sure of what isn’t so — but it’s worth a try.
How many people can YOU send this to?

It began as a side project. Langley built the first prototype cameras by hand around his dining room table after a neighbor’s vehicle was stolen and police recovery rates were low. A DeKalb County detective later credited one of the early cameras with helping solve a home break-in, prompting the founders to quit their jobs and pursue the company full-time.Ownership and Funding

Florida Man just trying to catch a quick bass the other night ended up having to fight off a gator that grabbed him by the leg and pulled him in. Once he handled Wally he rode his dog back in the house
Read that first paragraph very carefully.
He is explaining to you why the United States was DELIBERATELY moved from an asset-backed currency to a FIAT currency.
It's true.
HE WHO TOUCHES THE FIAT MONEY **FIRST** WINS THE FINANCIAL GAME.
By the time it trickles down to you, inflation and other forces have degraded it.
This is why this country will never be fully restored until we go BACK to asset- backed money.
When the Federal Reserve creates new money, it does not helicopter it evenly onto every lawn in America. That fantasy lives only in economics textbooks, where money is a neutral veil and printing $1 raises all prices by the same tiny fraction at the same convenient moment. Reality works differently. Money enters at specific points, in specific hands, at specific times. And whoever touches it first wins.
Richard Cantillon figured this out in the 1730s, watching how mining wealth and paper credit rippled through the French economy. The new money spreads unevenly, and the order matters enormously.
Picture the mechanism. The Fed buys Treasuries and mortgage-backed securities from primary dealers: JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup. Those institutions get the fresh dollars first, while prices across the economy still reflect yesterday's smaller money supply. They lend, they buy assets, they pay bonuses, all at old prices. The money then trickles outward to hedge funds, to corporations issuing cheap bonds, to the government contractor, and eventually, months or years later, to the nurse in Ohio and the retiree living on fixed savings. By the time it reaches them, rents have jumped, groceries cost more, the S&P 500 sits at a record. They receive diluted dollars and pay inflated prices. They bought nothing and lost anyway.
Every expansion of the money supply transfers real purchasing power from the periphery to the center, from wage earners to asset holders, from savers to the leveraged. From 2020 to 2022 the Fed grew its balance sheet from roughly $4 trillion to nearly $9 trillion, and asset prices detonated while the median family watched its grocery bill climb 20 percent. Then they blamed "greedy corporations" and supply chains, as if the printing had nothing to do with it.
You were told inflation is a rising tide that lifts all boats. Look again at who owns the yachts and who is bailing water.

Since I’m still trending, just wanted to take the opportunity to remind our Senate that part of the reason we have 53 Republican colleagues today & not 52 is because of Pennsylvania.
Senator Bob Casey Jr. was defeated by a mere 15,000 votes.
I would also like to remind our Senate that you would have an even greater majority today had you secured our elections years ago.
In 2024, we should have won AZ, MI, NV, & WI.
If you take into account the debacle of the 2020 election followed by Georgia Senate runoff elections, Republicans should have closer to 60 seats.
So, if you pass the SAVE America Act, you will be rewarded with votes & likely bigger majorities.
If you do not pass the SAVE America Act, then I can guarantee that Louisiana & Texas won’t be the last time that incumbent Senators were defeated
— peacefully & respectfully.

This is where I live. Our community is coming together next Saturday to restore these sites.
A historic Black cemetery in Palmetto, Florida, was vandalized, with graves damaged and “Trump” and “DeSantis” spray-painted across tombstones. Our ancestors deserve dignity in life and in death. Desecrating sacred burial grounds is hateful, painful, and unacceptable. We must protect Black history and honor the families impacted by this cruelty.
