#WATCH | Jammu and Kashmir: The annual Darbar Move convoy, carrying officials along with official records, files, and Secretariat material, crossed Jammu & Kashmir's Ramban district on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) earlier today amid tight security arrangements. The convoy was moving from Srinagar toward Jammu as part of the traditional seasonal shifting of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Secretariat ahead of the winter season. Elaborate security and traffic management arrangements were put in place by the administration to ensure safe and smooth passage along the strategically important highway. (Earlier visuals)

That’s why education is important.
Seventy-nine years ago today, Indian forces landed in Srinagar, and a long night fell over Jammu & Kashmir. For nearly eight decades, the Kashmiri people have been denied their inalienable right to self-determination, a right affirmed by the UN Security Council. They have endured repression, incarceration and immense suffering, yet their resolve has never broken. On this solemn day, I pay tribute to the countless Kashmiri men, women and children whose sacrifices keep the flame of freedom alive. Aspirations rooted in justice cannot be extinguished by coercion. Pakistan stands with Kashmir today and always. We will continue our moral, diplomatic and political support until this dispute is resolved in accordance with UNSC resolutions and the will of the Kashmiri people. #KashmirBlackDay

My personal comfort is supreme. Rest, nothing matters.
I am wondering if the British have really left India. The way the Army authorities in Secunderabad Cantonment behave confirms that British have gone but the attitude of Indian Army towards the civilians remains the same. The latest apartheid policy is in the way civilians are not being allowed to use the roads from Lakdawala gate in Bolarum and Kargil gate near Yapral in Secunderabad. The restrictions began after the theft of weapons from the armoury of 20th Madras Regiment in Bolarum. The theft was subsequently traced to a sacked low level army sepoy and few other armymen. The case is still under investigation. The theft showed that it was an inside job, but now civilians are not permitted to use the roads in Bolarum and Yapral areas. Instead of checking army vehicles, the jawans wave them on and even salute when it is an officer. What sadistic pleasure does it give to the Army authorities to prevent the use of the roads by civilians. Your men committed the theft - why punish the civilians? The Secunderabad cantonment rules clearly state that roads cannot be blocked indefinitely and it has to be done after issuing a notice. How will it be if civilians stop Army officers from using civilian roads? It's time to stop this apartheid policy. All Indian citizens are equal, and Army authorities in Secunderabad are not a privileged lot. Open up the roads, immediately. @rajnathsingh @DefenceMinIndia @SpokespersonMoD @adgpi @Eatala_Rajender
