If Texas or other states don’t want the economic benefits of data centers, Alabama will gladly take the business.

$INTC 8 years ago:
• $55/share
• Primarily an x86 CPU & PC business with no external foundry business or outside backing & no meaningful AI growth engine
$INTC today:
• $55/share
• A centerpiece of America's push for domestic advanced chipmaking backed by U.S. government & $NVDA with Data Center & AI revenue just posting its strongest growth in 15 years
Same price. Very different business.

the great semicon reset this week
has opened up juicy opportunities we didn't have just a few months ago. let me articulate some thoughts.
intel's stock has been cut hard, down 46% over the past 3 months.
the bull case for $INTC is that better manufacturing economics can turn Intel's product growth into much higher earnings.
- lip-bu tan says a couple of outside foundry customers could be ready to announce within two quarters.
- 18A (intel's newest chip process) costs are down 40% since Q1
- 18A chips went from <5% to nearly 1/3 of client CPU revenue
- wildcat lake, the cheap 18A laptop chip, grew units 70% q/q and is sold out
- data center revenue is on track to end 2026 ~$10B above what intel expected going in
CFO's rule of thumb: 40 to 60% of any new revenue falls through to gross profit
cheaper wafers plus more revenue on the new node is operating leverage. 2027 is when it should show. the CFO already calls next year a growth year.

$INTC White House NEC Director Kevin Hassett said today that President Trump is “excited about the deal made with Intel” and that it is “encouraging to see Intel show a sustained strong improvement.”
The comments come roughly a week after Intel’s weak guidance and sharp sell-off.
They signal that the administration continues to view its 2025 ~9.9% equity stake positively and still backs the company’s longer-term turnaround despite near-term PC and supply pressures.

Comical that so many people believe the AI race will suddenly pause and Google will just go back to ads and Meta will go full tilt on Reality labs etc.
Most of 27 Capex build is underway and nothing is stopping that. 28 comes with some risk but there will be time to negotiate or relocate projects to friendlier locations.
We will update our Capex forecast shortly but expect to see little revision downward. AI is the biggest economic driver on the planet. It may move locations, but it won’t be stopped. 👀

Democrats might be able to ban American superintelligence, but they can't ban China's.
Do you really think an ASI trained on walled-off data will have your best interests at heart? Think again. The next generation of Americans better get ready to learn Chinese.
If the democrats successfully pass a ban on Superintelligence, this will have negative ramifications that will ripple out for the next 100 years:
1) The final stock market top is in, possibly for several decades to come
2) China will win the AI race, and Chinese cultural influence will spread like wildfire
3) China will become the sole super power of the world
4) The US will be guaranteed to have a financial apocalypse in the coming years that will be the biggest in the country's history. Massive exponential AI growth was the only way to avoid it, and that is the last straw.
5) The DSA will probably win in 2028, and the US will sink into full socialism, and eventually Communism. Civil war possible, break up of the nation possible.
The SuperIntelligence ban is the dumbest proposal ever proposed by anyone. It's completely destructive on every level, and is fueled by social media and news media fear mongering.

The AI selloff is stupid.
Everyone is panicking because some state governors flipped blue. And those future governors talked tough on data centers. If data center development slows, the semis and memory companies make less money. So naturally, everyone panic sold.
But think about this logically. Do you really think these governors want to reduce jobs, taxes coming in, and investment in their communities? No. The tough talk was to get elected. In reality, they just want data centers to be fair… don’t increase electricity costs, don’t pollute the water, and don’t treat employees like shit. Any good Neocloud is already doing this and will comply with the asks. Any Neocloud or data center company with connected power already has very little risk as well through 2027.
Are democrats going to wipe out AI? Well…
- $NVDA increased 1000% under BIDEN
- The majority of data centers in America are in BLUE STATES
- if they slow AI development, then China will win the race and America will never recover. They have 401ks and their constituents do too, they don’t want to wipe everyone out.
Federally, little will change over the next two years unless 2/3 of the senate passes a bill. Anything less than that requires Trump to sign off and he will veto everything. The actual risk here is a prolonged government shutdown.
But as for AI companies, they are still crushing it and the fundamentals have not changed. Sure, there may be a little more regulation at the state level but the good DC companies like $NBIS $CIFR $APLD $IREN $CRWV $HUT $GLXY $WULF are already complying or will comply. Semis and memory won’t slow down for years.
This will be a blip on the radar and we will look back at November 5th, 2026 as one of the best times to buy cheap stocks during our version of the Industrial Revolution.
Sure, there will be volatility ahead. But I believe the future is bright and the market will come around. It literally only takes one headline for the entire sentiment and market trajectory to change course now.

I can’t shake the feeling that selling your high-beta tech stocks already down 40-70%, to buy low/no growth consumer names at 30-100x earnings…might not be so smart, either.

Another tech CEO gets it on datacenter locality. This time $ARM CEO @renehaas237. He nails it.
The US doesn’t have a labor or even time to build advantage and can we built outside the US. Most companies planned to build here to appease the administration, the promise to remove barriers, and in a few cases, latency.
Put the barriers up and these will get built outside the US. And all the manufacturing jobs and taxes with it.
FAFO.

Would a US datacenter pull back impact the AI infra build out? Not according to the many tech infra CEOs I have talked to this week.
One was very direct. If Texas becomes an issue they will get built in Ohio or West Virginia. If not the US, then outside the US.

Intel expects its EMIB packaging technology to use more than 70 bridges per chip as AI semiconductors grow larger. The company sees the trend as a growth driver.
ZDNet Korea reports the comments from Intel Foundry packaging director Lee Kyu-oh at the ISMP 2026 event in Busan on November 4. This year’s commercialized AI semiconductors use a 120 by 120 millimeter package, integrate 12 high-bandwidth memory stacks, and use more than 20 EMIB bridges. Future AI semiconductors under development target packages of 120 by 180 millimeters or larger with 16 or more high-bandwidth memory stacks and more than 38 bridges. Intel expects package sizes to reach 240 by 240 millimeters with 32 or more high-bandwidth memory stacks, which would require more than 70 bridges.
EMIB is Intel’s advanced packaging approach. The industry currently connects high-bandwidth memory and system chips with a thin silicon interposer. EMIB uses small silicon bridges instead, placing them only where needed. Intel says this is more cost-efficient. Interposer wafer utilization is around 60%, while bridges achieve more than 90%. The approach is drawing attention as an alternative to TSMC’s packaging. EMIB-T, which inserts through-silicon vias inside the bridges for power delivery, has received positive assessments. Google, Amazon, and other global big-tech firms are reported to be planning to apply EMIB-T to their own AI semiconductors.
Larger AI chips create more opportunity for Intel. Next-generation designs need more system chips and high-bandwidth memory to raise performance, so the number of connecting bridges rises with them. Lee said EMIB-T places high-density silicon only where needed and offers an architecture that can flexibly handle larger chip requirements. He added that equipping every bridge with through-silicon vias is likely to become the trend when AI semiconductor performance is considered.

$INTC CEO Lip-Bu Tan bought another $10M of stock at $65 just days after Intel’s worst trading day since 1974 which adds to $10M he already purchased at $95 in August.
He’s averaging down into the selloff while Intel’s data center and foundry businesses are growing 78% and 58% even as rising memory costs weigh on PC demand.

Intel getting sold down heavily maybe some 'Trump rebuke effect'
As a reminder. Bidens commerce secretary was trying to get TSMC and Intel to merge. She was actively pressing companies to use Intel.

The idea democrats won't support Intel is just hilarious. Far left was a big fan of the equity stake too.
