What is really going on? The goal of the gender ideology movement which is to undermine biological sex can only succeed if gender identity is enshrined in law. This is what the proposed changes (failed) to GRA and EA were about, and this bill is another try - non binary is a plus
Stonewall has been given unprecedented access to Downing Street and helped the Labour Government draw up its “chilling” Conversion Practices Bill.
The Telegraph has revealed that the controversial charity has been supplying Downing Street with research to justify the proposed law.
Under the Bill, parents, therapists and religious leaders could face up to five years in prison for having important conversations with gender-confused children or sharing their faith’s teachings on sex, gender and marriage with their congregations.
Stonewall’s head of policy was reportedly invited to a meeting at 10 Downing Street to discuss the proposed law and made recommendations to the MPs scrutinising the Bill.
Dennis Kavanagh, director of the Gay Men’s Network and a criminal barrister, said his organisation had not been offered similar meetings. He told The Telegraph: “The level of government access afforded to Stonewall is extraordinary, particularly in view of their extreme position on gender matters and their poor track record in accurately stating the law.”
Published in June, the Bill’s impact assessment cited a Stonewall survey to argue that conversion practices were so prevalent that new legislation was needed — even though conversion practices are already illegal.

Lesbian History Group - we remembered (and learned new facts, thanks to Les and @OnChairs) inspiring lesbians who are no longer with us. Say their names - Robin Morgan, Mary Daly, Julia Penelope, Magdalen Berns. And our own Gail Spears, Maria Katyachild and Sue Newte 💚🤍💜✊🏼
It’s been years since I saw this. Hits just as hard.
Imagine being in your first week of social work training and being told that some of your fellow students might be there to gain access to vulnerable children.
Shocking, right? But this social worker’s point applies anywhere adults work with children. Some people will seek out those roles for the wrong reasons. And the person whose behaviour you need to question might be the nicest person you know.
She also makes an important point about why safeguarding starts with having a clear sense of what’s normal and what isn’t. Once that boundary starts to blur, it’s easier for someone to cross it without being challenged.
I wish I’d seen this video years ago. I can think of times when something felt off and I kept quiet because I worried I might be wrong or cause offence.
Thanks @JournalistJill for highlighting it.

How insulting… and just plain wrong.
Yes we can tell. And we should not be put in the position when we have to.

Lauren fears the Conversion Practices Bill could have cost her the chance to rebuild her relationship with her parents.
telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/11…
"If you'd presented me with the magic option of calling the police so my parents would have to bow down and accept I was right, I absolutely would have taken it."
Our young supporter Lauren spent three years apart from her parents after coming out as a lesbian. She lived in hostels where she witnessed violence, was burgled and struggled with depression. She fears that involving the police could have cost her the chance to come home to the people who love her.
Our CEO Kate Barker spoke to Lauren earlier this week and felt her story needed to be heard as widely as possible. Thank you to The Telegraph for sharing it.
Watch their conversation about why Lauren wants MPs to reject the Conversion Practices Bill.
Thank you for speaking up Lauren.

Tom Cross KC: “Women are more likely to experience compromise to their privacy, dignity and/or sense of safety than are men in the presence of a person of the opposite sex in what they expect to be a same-sex space”.

SANDIE PEGGIE IS APPEALING
The Darlington Nursing Union welcomes the news that its member Sandie Peggie is appealing her case against the Royal College of Nursing.
Throughout this ordeal, Sandie has demonstrated an enormous amount of courage and determination. It takes immense strength to stand up, challenge decisions and continue fighting for what you believe is right, particularly when the battle involves an organisation that should have been there to represent you.
No healthcare professional should ever be abandoned by the very union they have paid to protect them.
That is precisely why the Darlington Nursing Union was established: to ensure that healthcare professionals, who believe in biological reality, have a voice, receive proper representation and are never left feeling that they have to fight alone.
Trade union membership should mean having someone in your corner when it matters most. It should mean support, solidarity and representation – not having to question whether your union will stand beside you when things get difficult.
Sandie, as you continue your fight, please know that we stand with you. Your case and courage has shown why alternative options for union representation on these issues is urgently needed.

The dismissal today of Sandie Peggie’s case against the Royal College of Nursing should concern every healthcare professional who believes in biological reality.
Bethany Hutchison, President of the Darlington Nursing Union, said:
“Sandie’s story shows why healthcare professionals need a union that understands their convictions before a crisis begins.
“The court’s decision does not erase the fears and lawful beliefs of nurses who believe their union may not represent them robustly when disputes involve biological sex and gender identity.
“Sandie’s experience shows how vulnerable a nurse can become when trust in union representation breaks down.
“Gender-critical nurses deserve representation from a union whose starting point is clear: biological sex is real, freedom of belief matters, and lawful single-sex protections must be defended.
“The Darlington Nursing Union exists to provide that representation. We will stand firmly alongside our members, seek early and effective resolutions, and defend them robustly if a dispute escalates.
"Our members should never have to question whether their union shares a commitment to defending their lawful rights."

I have a request.
Please don’t support the organizations that have betrayed homosexual people.
Gay rights is about sexual relationships. That’s it. Some people are only attracted to people of the opposite sex. They are straight. Some only to people of the same sex. They are gay or lesbian. Some to both. They are bisexual.
Every single “LGBTQ+” organisation in the world has abandoned those clear definitions and has betrayed gay, lesbian and bisexual people.
If you don’t believe a straight man can call himself a “lesbian” and demand access to lesbian spaces if he “identifies” as a woman, please stop supporting “LGBTQ+” organizations.
If you don’t believe a girl who says she is a boy should be “affirmed” in that belief — and given access to puberty blockers and testosterone, and at 18 allowed to have her (healthy) breasts surgically removed, please stop supporting “LGBTQ+” organizations.
We need to return to a state of sanity. Please help.
