Lauren fears the Conversion Practices Bill could have cost her the chance to rebuild her relationship with her parents. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/11… "If you'd presented me with the magic option of calling the police so my parents would have to bow down and accept I was right, I absolutely would have taken it." Our young supporter Lauren spent three years apart from her parents after coming out as a lesbian. She lived in hostels where she witnessed violence, was burgled and struggled with depression. She fears that involving the police could have cost her the chance to come home to the people who love her. Our CEO Kate Barker spoke to Lauren earlier this week and felt her story needed to be heard as widely as possible. Thank you to The Telegraph for sharing it. Watch their conversation about why Lauren wants MPs to reject the Conversion Practices Bill. Thank you for speaking up Lauren.

SANDIE PEGGIE IS APPEALING The Darlington Nursing Union welcomes the news that its member Sandie Peggie is appealing her case against the Royal College of Nursing. Throughout this ordeal, Sandie has demonstrated an enormous amount of courage and determination. It takes immense strength to stand up, challenge decisions and continue fighting for what you believe is right, particularly when the battle involves an organisation that should have been there to represent you. No healthcare professional should ever be abandoned by the very union they have paid to protect them. That is precisely why the Darlington Nursing Union was established: to ensure that healthcare professionals, who believe in biological reality, have a voice, receive proper representation and are never left feeling that they have to fight alone. Trade union membership should mean having someone in your corner when it matters most. It should mean support, solidarity and representation – not having to question whether your union will stand beside you when things get difficult. Sandie, as you continue your fight, please know that we stand with you. Your case and courage has shown why alternative options for union representation on these issues is urgently needed. Join us #StandWithSandie #DarlingtonNursingUnion #DNU #Nursing #HealthcareProfessionals
The dismissal today of Sandie Peggie’s case against the Royal College of Nursing should concern every healthcare professional who believes in biological reality. Bethany Hutchison, President of the Darlington Nursing Union, said: “Sandie’s story shows why healthcare professionals need a union that understands their convictions before a crisis begins. “The court’s decision does not erase the fears and lawful beliefs of nurses who believe their union may not represent them robustly when disputes involve biological sex and gender identity. “Sandie’s experience shows how vulnerable a nurse can become when trust in union representation breaks down. “Gender-critical nurses deserve representation from a union whose starting point is clear: biological sex is real, freedom of belief matters, and lawful single-sex protections must be defended. “The Darlington Nursing Union exists to provide that representation. We will stand firmly alongside our members, seek early and effective resolutions, and defend them robustly if a dispute escalates. "Our members should never have to question whether their union shares a commitment to defending their lawful rights." Join the Darlington Nursing Union by contacting [email protected]

I have a request. Please don’t support the organizations that have betrayed homosexual people. Gay rights is about sexual relationships. That’s it. Some people are only attracted to people of the opposite sex. They are straight. Some only to people of the same sex. They are gay or lesbian. Some to both. They are bisexual. Every single “LGBTQ+” organisation in the world has abandoned those clear definitions and has betrayed gay, lesbian and bisexual people. If you don’t believe a straight man can call himself a “lesbian” and demand access to lesbian spaces if he “identifies” as a woman, please stop supporting “LGBTQ+” organizations. If you don’t believe a girl who says she is a boy should be “affirmed” in that belief — and given access to puberty blockers and testosterone, and at 18 allowed to have her (healthy) breasts surgically removed, please stop supporting “LGBTQ+” organizations. We need to return to a state of sanity. Please help.

Finally, an English footballer we can all be proud of. On and off the pitch, Harry Kane is a peerless professional. He’s honed his craft over the years and seems to get better and better with age. His distribution is immaculate, his finishing deadly. But for all his success, he remains refreshingly humble. He doesn’t let fame go to his head. You won’t find him falling out of nightclubs or picking fights with photographers. He’s not interested in the bling or the celebrity lifestyle. He’s a footballer first and foremost. Married to his childhood sweetheart, hardworking, grounded and utterly dedicated to his profession. A brilliant footballer and, by all appearances, a thoroughly decent man. Someone this country should be proud of. I hope there are more trophies to come before he hangs up his boots. A World Cup would be rather nice. He certainly deserves it.
Only the fifth #ThreeLions player in history to win the #BallonDor 🦁 @HKane 👊🤍

If you don't know what the Conversion Practices bill is about, please please watch this. It purports to ban "abuse" but in fact it will criminalise loving parents seeking to protect unhappy children from lifelong harm. It's extraordinarily serious.

Please explain to me how on earth encouraging someone to amputate healthy body parts and having experimental, mutilating surgery is in any allowing them to live openly and safely as themselves. @BinTheBill_ #BinTheBill

Parents should never have to fear criminalisation simply for having conversations with their own children. The Conversion Practices Bill raises serious concerns about free speech, family life and the ability of parents and therapists to offer support. #BinTheBill

LGB Alliance co-founder, Bev Jackson and Young Ambassador, David Stickland were on the panel discussing the forced marriage of LGB and TQ+ at the Battle of Ideas. As Bev said, it’s equivalent to a union of vegans and chicken farmers. Is a divorce on the cards? We hope so!

🚨💔A heartbreaking message from our students:- Please read and share “Today, August 15, I cried until my eyes could no longer see clearly, and my heart felt shattered into pieces. Inside my home, I could hear the Taliban and their supporters celebrating this day as if it were a day of independence. But no one heard my crying or my pain. Five years have passed. Five years of fear, deprivation, and stolen dreams. I have completely lost hope because nothing has changed for us in these five years. When will we, Afghan girls, finally have the right to live, learn, and hope for a future again?”

The Supreme Court ruling wasn't enough? The EHRC Code coming into force wasn't enough? What exactly is the NHS waiting for? If there is one place that should never have needed a court judgment or statutory guidance to recognise the difference between the two sexes, it's the medical profession. Women have single-sex spaces for a reason. Hospital wards are no exception. Patients may be frightened, seriously ill, or otherwise at their most vulnerable. Why should women be expected to give up their privacy and safety in those circumstances? And don't forget the female staff. Their dignity and rights matter too. "The NHS will publish approved new guidance for the health service on single-sex accommodation shortly... In the meantime, hospitals should be acting within the principles set out in the EHRC Code to ensure all patients are cared for with dignity and respect." Dignity and respect? No woman is shown either when she's expected to share intimate hospital spaces with a man, or be treated by medics who pretend men can be women. This isn't a competition, because politicians, lawyers and teachers have all failed when it comes to gender ideology. But healthcare professionals see the reality of biological sex every single day. They diagnose and treat illnesses that affect women because they are female. That makes this failure all the more extraordinary. How dare they reduce being a woman to a feeling. Women deserve better. The law is clear. Update the guidance.
NHS has no deadline to bring in new rules on single-sex spaces. Remember ladies these NHS trusts are breaking the law by putting males on female wards. Know your rights & sue. They have had 18 months to prepare. thetimes.com/article/9150e03…

Absolutely gutted. Thank @JamesEsses & team for your work. We’re at a very dangerous moment in time. This decision, the conversion practices ban proposal…If anyone thinks it’s time to ease off, you’re very wrong. We need to regroup & plan our next steps. We’ve got work to do
🚨Puberty Blockers Trial Update🚨 I’m deeply saddened to announce that the High Court has refused permission for us to proceed to a full Judicial Review hearing in our pursuit to block the deeply unethical and highly dangerous puberty blockers trial. This judgment does not negate the serious and avoidable harm that will be caused if this trial is allowed to proceed. Vulnerable children should never be used as guinea pigs in medical experimentation that may lead them down a path towards irreversible physiological and emotional damage, including infertility. This trial is the antithesis of child safeguarding and I will now be consulting with my lawyers regarding the possibility of an appeal.

Finally!! Men decide women deserve fair sport. 1 down 31 to go............
BREAKING NEWS: @FAWales has FINALLY capitulated - abandoning the unlawful policies that failed to protect the women's and girls' game. After years of campaigning and top-level talks to end these failures on safety and fairness, WRNWales has received confirmation from @NoelMooney13 that FAW has taken - with immediate effect -measures to comply with the law. We're pleased that FAW ultimately took on board our safeguarding concerns and has responded appropriately. More to follow! @wsusportsunion @sharrond62 @TracyEdwardsMBE @oliverbrown_tel faw.cymru/news/changes-appro… #SaveWomensSport
