in hindsight the plot of The Great Gatsby makes infinitely more sense when you remember that the author and all of the characters have been driven to the brink of stark-raving, shoelace-eating madness by three years of a global flu pandemic

Door Dash requires every employee all the way up to the CEO to deliver food at least once a month. What would happen if every state/district employee had to teach at least one class each month?

I don’t believe in penalizing students for failing to turn in homework. Same for lateness, attendance, dress code, and even some behaviors such as sleeping in class. We don’t always know the whole story. Hold children accountable for what they can control.

Either the teacher from “Willy Wonka” or Severus Snape. How about you, @BabyFidz?
If you could have any fictional character from a book, movie, or TV show come to life and join your classroom as a teaching assistant, who would you choose and why?

In a world where hybrid/flexi working is becoming common, teachers still have to fight to leave school during free periods or are made to feel guilty for asking for even a few hours off for any reason whatsoever. Huge culture/mindset shift still needed.

A student came to me after seeing another student earn a reward for finally following directions in music class and said, “Sometimes it feels like when you’re always good, you need to try a lot harder to get noticed at school.” I will never forget this. And I promise to notice.
