We intentionally placed one thin heatshield tile and removed two tiles completely from the Ship to measure how hot things get without tiles in those locations, while also testing some thermal protection options

Safe to say that Stage 0 is…toasty. The same can be said for the rest of the structure and surrounding GSE. Key notes are: OLM still venting & tank farm has taken significant damage

3 months ago, we started building a massive water-cooled, steel plate to go under the launch mount. Wasn’t ready in time & we wrongly thought, based on static fire data, that Fondag would make it through 1 launch. Looks like we can be ready to launch again in 1 to 2 months.

An important reminder. Anyone who finds debris from Starship...it is NOT a souvenir. In fact it could potentially be dangerous! If you find anything please leave it and report it to SpaceX by calling 1-866-623-0234 or email [email protected].

Ugh. I literally wrote a post with the headline "Starship made it through Max Q. That’s a big deal."
I’ve not seen anyone talking about the fact that Starship made it through Max Q. I believe one key concern was structural integrity at these loads. I think the test flight was a huge success just based on this. @SciGuySpace @DJSnM @elonmusk @wapodavenport @CSI_Starbase
