When Jennifer Welch isn’t spreading lies about Israel, she’s making sadistic jokes about the murder of Charlie Kirk.
We’re happy to see everyone from Chewy to CashApp pulling sponsorships from her “I’ve Had It” podcast.
CNN tonight: Abby Phillips guest Jennifer Welch from the @ivehaditpodcast bitching about Israelis having universal health care and ranting about Jews returning to Israel because of Jesus’ rapture.
Who booked this nut?

Hamilton espouses leading from the middle, rightfully so, it’s how he won. But he begins this video celebrating his status as the first Dem to win an election to KS since 1932. He’s both proudly moderate and a proud Democrat. A real nail in the coffin for run an Indy strategy.

I think a key moment for Jennifer Welch is when she saw clear evidence that Hasan shocked his dog, in person, and chose to participate in the coverup of it. Says a lot about who she is and where she’s at
"I actually think Mississippi is a blue state that needs to be organized."
Last week, our @jmart talked with Raphael Warnock about why he's trying to get Democrats to pay more attention to the South. Currently, Democratic candidate Scott Colom leads the Mississippi Senate race by just over 2,000 votes.

One think I think [CN]’s Clone Wars did, that the other Clone Wars series completely failed to do, was show why the Jedi were such a potential threat on the battlefield and to the Empire, and why Order 66 was needed.

The reason the peanut gallery is rioting is because they subconsciously know that their short-term prospects are pretty bleak. Unclear if AOC is running but do people think she’d build a bigger coalition than Bernie in 2016 and 2020? Ro is a non-factor. So…who is left?

BREAKING: The Senate just voted 50-46 to strip Donald Trump of his power to impose tariffs.
Multiple Republicans joined Democrats to shut him down, second night in a row the GOP has turned on him.
Trump’s grip on his own party is cracking in real time.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
These Senate votes took place in October 2025, not this week. The Senate passed S.J.Res.88 on global tariffs 51-47, the vote shown in the video. The 50-46 vote, held the same week, was on Canada tariffs.

🇺🇸🇺🇦 The US is back.
Democrats are preparing a $15 billion Ukraine aid package and new sanctions against Russia.
They also want safeguards against the political manipulation of Starlink.
Russian diesel tankers are turning back as US companies shun deals for fear of penalties.
Democrats and dozens of pro-Ukraine Republicans could reach two-thirds in both chambers to override Trump’s veto.
Trump will be defeated.

A statistic that sounds fake but isn't: Not one single white American man born after 1984 has published a work of literary fiction in The New Yorker.
It's not because they stopped writing. It's because The New Yorker has refused to publish them. The publishing industry has blacked out a generation of male writers & then they wonder why boys don't read.
About 70% of publishing professionals are women.
Because agents and editors tend to select books they personally relate to, an increasing number of male authors are being sidelined in the publishing industry, resulting in an overwhelming number of female protagonists on our shelves—and a dearth of male ones.
No wonder young men are no longer reading.

Unrelated, but Paul LePage is 78. He's ancient to be a first-termer in Congress.
It's so weird to me that these very old people want to spend their final years in DC, as opposed to peaceful retirement with their families.

Looks like Israel is set to have its first Mizrahi prime minister. Some things to hope for:
1. Oct 7th inquiry and corruption trial finally fucks Netanyahu into his political grave
2. Raam joins the government and Arab participation in Israeli politics becomes a constant feature. It can’t be the case as it is now where so many Israelis spend half their time boasting about Arabs having voting rights, and the other half dreading the thought of those Arabs ever getting any power
3. The police and finance department (which Smotrich has used to fleece West Bank tax payers for years) will be out of the hands of fascist terrorists who should never have been allowed near a government position to begin with (fun fact, even AIPAC once condemned the government for bringing in Ben Gvir and Smotrich lol)
4. The E1 settlement project should be ended and Western allies should make a priority of aggressively holding Eisenkot to this if he allows it to continue
5. Palestinians in Gaza might finally be presented with a future that is neither the suicide cult of Hamas nor the colonial dystopia that Trump and Bibi were championing
6. There’s some evidence that the recent election has led to a growing interest among Palestinians in East Jerusalem to pursue Israeli voting rights. This would entail them applying for citizenship - a lengthy, humiliating and sometimes dangerous process - but one that would force Israeli leaders (including Eisenkot) to reckon with the fact that the status quo there is an unsustainable delusion. If they really don’t want their actions to look like ‘apartheid’ or ‘ethnic cleansing’, the only options left are to give voting rights or to leave.
Of course, none of these are set in stone. Eisenkot is by no means a left winger, even by Israeli standards, but his coalition will be one that will be more receptive to Palestinian leaders and to fair criticism from Western allies. Palestinians and Israelis have needed better leaders for a long time and maybe this can be a small start

Dems very much need a popular presidential figure in 2028 to turn around the party's perceptions as a whole.
(I.e. NOT Newsom or Harris, who are like -15)
Replying to @charlotteeffect
4. The best performing Dems differentiated themselves from the party. Despite the tsunami, the Democratic party as an entity still isn't super popular, between -2 and +2 in all our six states.

Van Hollen would probably be my 2 or 3rd choice in a Democratic primary, but its sad he seems to be keen on launching a likely doomed presidential campaign instead of seizing the moment and presenting himself as a compromise candidate to replace schumer.

Nothing screams Florida like advantaging existing home owners while decimating your tax base.
Further transfers of wealth from young and poor(er) to aged and wealthier— this time via eliminated the most efficient form of taxation we have.
Proud to be an alachua county resident who was smart enough to vote against this.
Amendment 3 results re: first step for property tax elimination. Only 3 counties — Gadsden, Leon and Alachua (three most liberal counties) — had a majority vote against it. Rural counties where opponents were trying to scare people against it voted overwhelmingly in favor. 66% in Miami-Dade voted in favor, and large counties including Hillsborough, Palm Beach and Lee all hit 60% or more.
Big win for taxpayers!
