114. Thomas’ Treatise on Divine Government is a classic exploration of providence, the ordering of angels and demons, and the relation between body and soul in humanity. Unexpectedly it ends with an article on the nature of semen as surplus food!
'We're saving God'. How glad I am to hear that! I was terrified that if the Republicans didn't stay in power, the substance of physical and spiritual reality would dissolve like snow, leaving a void of metaphysical nothingness come the morning of November 4th.
"We're saving Christianity. We've saving God. We've saving the family unit. We're saving this nation. I mean, DEI is out of the window…”
- Eric Trump, son of President Donald Trump. @atrupar.
The 3 biggest class culprits for snobbishness in the UK are the nouveau riche, who (falsely) believe that imitating the upper class requires snobbishness; the upper working class, who are dreadfully snobbish towards those lower down the pecking order; & the nouveau middle class.
i like the idea of twitter no longer being a platform but a concept, shattered across time and space

Sounds harsh, until you've had 30–50 canonically irregular prelates run into your yard within 3–5 minutes while your small kids play.

Experimenting with a Catechesis series that begins with the practical elements, rather than concluding with them. I think we live in such a de-Christianised society that knowing how to *do* the faith is crucial to surviving as an individual Christian.
I am convinced that had Jonathan Edwards lived long enough to write his intended trilogy on Scripture, nature, and history, he would have gone down as one of the top-tier theologians in Christian history.
It is not surprising that Moltmann became a big hit with Anglican theologians in the 2nd half of the 20th C, considering how many of his themes were prominent amongst Anglicans in the 1st half (dynamic, evolving, sacramental universe; divine passibility; Christian socialism etc)

I am trying to think of a more shocking betrayal of a friend and ally by a major power in history. What are the parallels?
russia has run into serious problems with its offensive in Donbas, where its forces have become bogged down.
One of the main reasons was that russian logistics had been crippled by Ukrainian drone strikes. This campaign depended heavily on Starlink terminals operating on high-speed Ukrainian drones.
russian military command identified this as a critical problem and approached the American side, asking it to restrict the speeds at which Starlink terminals could operate.
The argument was simple: there would be little public backlash because the US could still claim that Starlink was operational and that the service was still being provided.
The Trump administration agreed to the restrictions, effectively solving a critical battlefield problem for Russia.
As a result, russian logistics in Donbas are now safer, and Ukraine has lost an important advantage on the battlefield.
