Five years is long enough. It’s time For action. @wesstreeting
Today, representatives from @VIBUK_Official met with Health Minister @SharonHodgsonMP and officials from the @DHSCgovuk. It was a positive and constructive meeting, and we appreciate the time taken to listen to the experiences of the vaccine injured and bereaved community. While changes within Government are once again underway, we were encouraged that this important work will continue over the summer. We are positive that engagement between VIBUK and the Department’s vaccines team will continue in the background, ensuring momentum is maintained as discussions on reform progress. This is only the beginning. There is still much more to be done to deliver the justice, support and meaningful reform that vaccine injured and bereaved families deserve. VIBUK remains committed to working constructively with Government, sharing evidence and lived experience, and continuing to push for meaningful progress. We look forward to continuing these discussions in the months ahead. @jamesmurray_ldn @wesstreeting @andyburnham @AshleyDalton_MP @PeterABedford @AJogee @chris_chope #VIBUK #VDPS #JusticeForTheVaccineInjured

Covid-19 Inquiry Module 4 Report: Government Response Volume 792: debated on Tuesday 27 October 2026 @JimShannonMP discussing the need for Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme reform "....families who suffered severe adverse outcomes have been left stranded by administrative failures and the lack of fair support." "Does the hon. Member agree that the promised reforms must be designed in direct collaboration with the vaccine-injured and their families, to ensure that they are treated with the dignity, speed and fairness that they deserve?" hansard.parliament.uk/common…

The Government has now responded to Module 4 of the COVID-19 Inquiry report, and it has accepted a crucial point: the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme is not fit for purpose. For those who have suffered life-changing vaccine injuries or lost loved ones, this is an important step—but acceptance alone is not enough. The recommendations must now be acted upon. @andyburnham @YvetteCooperMP @DianaJohnsonMP @KemiBadenoch @DamianHinds will you meet with us to discuss how these recommendations can be taken forward and how we can ensure that those affected finally get the recognition, support and justice they deserve?

It’s so true. If only big pharma had ethics people wouldn’t habe to suffer more than they already are. Instead we have to fight for justice.
Quote Erin Brokovich …….. “The only way we’re ever going to see an end to scandals like this is by making sure, if wrongdoing is found, #criminal charges are brought against those responsible. “We have firms who know something has gone wrong and they hide that information “They refuse to take responsibility, although they have damaged hundreds of thousands of lives. “If accountability is making them pay a billion dollars when their company has $90billion, that’s not much of a sting.

I really hope @andyburnham follows up on his promise of hope and is the first Prime Minister @10DowningStreet to meet the @VIBUK_Official. Or will @KemiBadenoch from @Conservatives meet us? How much longer must we wait!

One thing is for sure: the COVID vaccine injured and bereaved haven't "walked away scot free, elevated rewarded, or enriched." We have lost our health, our loved ones, our incomes, our homes and the futures we thought we had.

After more than 5 years of feeling like second-class bereaved, I hope @andyburnham will meet with those affected by COVID vaccine injury and the bereaved families.

👏 Thank you to @PeterABedford MP for continuing to stand up for the vaccine-injured and bereaved families. Following the Government’s response to the COVID-19 Inquiry Module 4 recommendations, Peter Bedford MP has submitted an important Parliamentary Question to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, @YvetteCooperMP . He is demanding a clear timetable for reform of the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme (VDPS), including: 🔹 When the review will begin. 🔹 When proposals will be published. 🔹 When vaccine-injured and bereaved families will be consulted. 🔹 When reforms will actually be implemented. For over five years, families have fought tirelessly for recognition, fairness and meaningful change. The Government has finally acknowledged the need for reform, but a commitment without a timetable is simply another promise. VIBUK welcomes this important intervention and looks forward to the Government’s response, due by 22 October 2026. We need more than words. We need dates, accountability and action. Our families have waited long enough. We cannot afford another five years of delays. 💜 Thank you, @PeterABedford MP, for continuing to ensure our voices are heard in Parliament. @andyburnham @DianaJohnsonMP @DHSCgovuk #VIBUK #VDPS #CovidInquiry #VaccineInjured #VaccineBereaved
