Good reminder that Liberals don't miraculously become more electable by pretending to be conservatives. The OLP has tried running campaigns that apologize for being Liberal and it hasn't worked. It's time to be unapologetic Liberals and offer a real change from Ford's policies.
And people wonder why change voters haven't been siding with the Liberals for the last couple of elections. Important that the next Liberal leader challenges the damaging conservative policies that have set back our province instead of embracing them.

I'm happy for Nate; I think this will be a good fit for him, but damn if this victory wouldn't have also felt good on by-election night if some people hadn't been so determined to "save" the OLP from him.
Thank you, Beaches-East York.

In a scathing statement, Fraser says if Crombie “believes she was never comfortable being a Liberal, I think that probably speaks for itself.” “Being an Ontario Liberal isn’t something you wear when it’s comfortable. It’s something you believe in,” he adds. Full statement:

Keep the movement growing. Donate today. More resources means more voters reached, and more opportunities to make our case a first, second, or third time. We see our path to victory. Let’s seize it. Chip in here: donate.stripe.com/fZu5kFgquc…

The weirdest thing about these comments is when she was running for Liberal leader it was all "I've been a Liberal since I was a teenager" and "we're going to make people proud to call themselves Liberal again." So... lying then or lying now?

In an interview, Crombie, the former Liberal leader, conceded that the red label “perhaps... wasn’t a good fit.” “I think the Liberal brand… I wasn’t comfortable wearing,” she said. “My policies were very conservative, frankly, and yet I was running as a Liberal.”

Something to reflect on as we choose a new leader next month, and another reason to maybe choose someone who is unapologetically Liberal this time and doesn't just see it as a brand they're wearing.
Meanwhile Bonnie out rage baiting every Mississauga Liberal who froze their butts off last winter. What a waste of our time and energy. Vote well tomorrow.

I put a lot of thought into this. Dylan really impressed me in our meetings and the party's debates. Of all candidates, he seems to have the most natural charisma and charm, which helps sell his positive message and I think would be indispensable in a province-wide campaign.

One candidate said at our event in PEC "how many years would the OLP have won if Ford called the election in July?" because that's usually when he's lowest in polling. And that's not the attitude I want from a leader. I want someone who knows we need to work to earn those votes.

Also, going back to the seat, the two candidates with one have only been tested in one general election so far. Electing them as leader will tell the PCs exactly what riding to organize their efforts and spend their money, and they will. We can't assume it's a "safe" seat.

Oooh - a newspaper editorial board endorsed or didn’t endorsed a candidate? In my lifetime, do you know how many votes I believe have been changed in Canadian elections by an editorial endorsement? That would be zero. None No actual person cares or reads it. Only campaigns

The biggest lie in politics is that conservatives are strong fiscal managers. They never have been and never will be.
Remember when Ontario kicked Kathleen Wynne to the curb because Doug Ford said she had huge deficits?

There were other reasons, too, like the high hydro prices that he hasn't lowered, and the sex ed curriculum that he didn't actually repeal.

There is nothing more important on a Premier’s desk than publicly funded education. @fordnation is shortchanging our kids. We will defeat him. #RedForEd #OntEd #OntEdUnited

100%. She’s also had to deal with a Premier who fully believes *he* is actually the Mayor.
