‘Weak leadership combined with ideological capture, perceived prestige for the organisation, and fear had all led to children being harmed.’
Gender ideology has spread like wildfire through the NHS. The casualties: kids and whistleblowers.

The real purpose of the conversion bill is to put gender identity into law.
This bill does that but it calls it "transgender identity", but it doesn't define it, because it can't be defined.
That will make any distressed teenager a prosecution risk for parents.
Replying to @MensNetwork1
4/ Using a real history of gay pain to prosecute parents is a misuse of the criminal law and a misuse of our history. This bill exploits gay rights to smuggle in contested identity concepts into criminal law.

The call for evidence on the draft Conversion Therapy Practices Bill includes a section on parental rights and q. 12 on 'other rights around privacy and family life, and freedom of expression.'
Parents, please respond. Read @SexMattersOrg excellent briefing to help you 👇

Read the committee's questions committees.parliament.uk/sub…
You might want to focus on:
- Does the draft bill meets the Government’s stated aims?
- Does it address a gap in existing legislation?
- Are the concepts and thresholds clear and appropriate?
- Are CP protection orders a good idea?
- Does the bill strike the right balance with privacy, freedom and family life?
- Is the healthcare exemption adequate?

It’s GRR meets Named Person, with a dash of hate crime. Distinguishing feature of such legislation is wasting a massive amount of political time, stoking tensions, eventual crash and burn, and - importantly - doing worse than nothing for groups it supposedly is meant to help/

Arresting parents for dealing with distress in the family is draconian and a clear breach of Article 8. It's good the Government has chosen Pre Legislative Scrutiny for their conversion Bill, any honest open conversation demonstrates it is unworkable and terrifying.

I'll be addressing the pre legislative committee on the draft conversion bill this Thursday on behalf of GMN on the basis of our long form legal analysis of the bill.
This legislation makes gays and lesbians second class victims and it ignores and embeds the Tavistock scandal.
1/ Our longform response to the draft conversion practice bill is now available on our website at gaymensnetwork.co.uk/.
This bill is broad, unnecessary and offers poorer protection to gay people than existing laws. It is a bill about gender ideology, not gay rights.

The bill:
⚠️ has no defence of reasonableness
⚠️ requires no intention to cause harm
⚠️ has no exception for parents, and only a limited exception for healthcare providers.
