👏🏼 for Lenny’s podcast with @dharmesh. Loved that HubSpot committed to build an integrated product suite for SMBs and set the constraint of not investing too much in any one tool. Strategy is defining rules for how you make tradeoffs. Being good at everything is not a strategy.
Reminded me of this exercise from one of my favourite guides.
“First, choose a set of adjectives you want your users to use to describe what you’re making.
Then, choose a set of adjectives that you’re okay with NOT being used to describe the same thing.”
