Any update on this @tedcruz
Sen. @tedcruz in March: "I don't believe that what is happening in Iran will be front and center in November. If it extends that long, we've done something wildly wrong... The president said at the beginning this is going to be a matter of several weeks."
China’s stock market is 40% BELOW its 2007 peak after 19 years while the S&P 500 more than QUADRUPLED.
It just recorded losses for 11 weeks in a row, the longest losing streak in its benchmark’s history.
When Shanghai lost a third of its value in under a month in 2015, Beijing banned big investors from selling for 6 months and sent state funds in to buy.
After Jack Ma criticized regulators in 2020, the Party halted Ant Group’s $37 billion IPO 2 days before trading. A year later, it banned for-profit tutoring in core subjects overnight and gutted a $100 billion industry.
Last week, the state “national team” bought ETFs to prop prices. Under Xi, a market the Party won’t let fall is one investors won’t trust to rise. The gap with the S&P just hit its widest level since 1997.

Tonight, my family and I experienced something no family should ever have to go through.
Our restaurant, Singh’s Dining Restaurant in Hammersmith, was attacked by a group of Islamists.
We had been receiving death threats every single day, including one that specifically warned us that 28 October would be our last day.
We raised our concerns, and the @metpoliceuk were aware of the threats. Yet tonight, we found ourselves facing the very nightmare we had feared.
My daughter had to close the shutters just in time. I cannot even begin to imagine what might have happened if she hadn’t acted so quickly. We could have lost someone in our family tonight.
The attackers reportedly tried for a long time to break through the shutters to get inside, leaving shortly before the police arrived.
We have serious concerns about how the attackers knew when to leave, and whether they were alerted before the police arrived. These concerns deserve a thorough and transparent investigation.
Tonight, I am left facing a heartbreaking decision, Do we keep our doors open and risk our lives, or do we shut down the business we have worked so hard to build because I don’t serve Halal food.
No family should ever have to choose between their livelihood and their safety. No one should have to live in fear in their own place of work.
I am angry. I am heartbroken. I am frightened for my family’s safety.
I am calling on the @metpoliceuk to take these threats seriously, investigate tonight’s attack thoroughly, and ensure that my family is protected.
Please share this post. Let our voices be heard. We should not have to wait for someone to lose their life before our safety is taken seriously.
Enough IS Enough.

In 2024, 1 in 14 people living in the US was not a citizen.
This includes green card holders, people on visas, and those here without status.
California at 12.7%, New Jersey 11%, Texas 10.7%, and Florida 10.4%.
These states have the jobs, the existing communities that make it easier to settle, and the easiest ways in (borders, airports, and ports).
Places like Montana and West Virginia stay around 1% because they don’t offer the same pull.
“If you build it, they will come.”
83% of Americans wanted photo ID to vote, including 71% of Democrats.
Their voters supported it but their politicians blocked it.
Republicans had the numbers, the mandate, and the SAVE America Act.
Their voters supported it but their politicians didn’t push it through.
They’ve made their bed.

You people love government so much.
Dave Foley was ordered to pay his ex-wife $17,700 a month in child support. That was five times what he actually earned.
If he set foot in Canada, he would be arrested at the border.
When he asked the judge how he’d feed his daughter from his second marriage, he says the court’s answer was simple: “They can rot in hell.”
In 1997, Foley was starring on NBC’s NewsRadio and making about $1 million a year. That year, he separated from his first wife, Tabatha Southey.
An Ontario judge set his payments at $17,700 a month, or $212,400 a year after taxes, based on his sitcom salary.
Two years later, NBC canceled the show. His income dropped by nearly 80%.
He went back to court to lower the payments. The judge said no. The court ruled he had made $1 million once, so he should keep paying like he still did.
His ex-wife lived in a $2.5 million house on a park in Toronto. Foley rented a small loft in downtown LA.
By 2011, he owed more than $500,000 in back payments. Ontario threatened to pull his passport and issued a warrant for his arrest if he came home.
In the video below, Foley explains the math: “I’m paying about five times my income every month in child support, based on a show that hasn’t been on for 12 years.”
He couldn’t work in Canada again until he landed a new sitcom in 2014 and had his paychecks garnished at the source.
The case for the court: a parent shouldn’t get to slash support just because their career slows down.
The case for Dave: locking a canceled actor into 1990s sitcom money under threat of prison is extortion.
Should child support be tied to what you earn today, or the best year you ever had?
It’s that simple when the model is truth seeking.
No qualifiers, long winded apologia, and an endless list of political correctness constraints just to reach the point, if ever.
Grok is leading in something that actually matters: giving people direct answers without unnecessary filler
Artificial Analysis' AA-PersonalityBench ranks Grok among the top models for getting straight to the point
This measures something people notice every day: whether a model answers your question directly or buries it under paragraphs of unnecessary preamble
Grok gets straight to what you actually asked. The answer first, then the explanation
The results are really impressive:

“Socialist economics has been proved false. Therefore, we must deny the concepts of true and false so we can keep our socialism.”
"Socialism, like the ancient ideas from which it springs, confuses the distinction between government and society. As a result of this, every time we object to a thing being done by government, the socialists conclude that we object to its being done at all. We disapprove of state education. Then the socialists say that we are opposed to any education. We object to a state religion. Then the socialists say that we want no religion at all. We object to a state-enforced equality. Then they say that we are against equality. And so on, and so on. It is as if the socialists were to accuse us of not wanting persons to eat because we do not want the state to raise grain."

£10bn for Ukraine - while British patients wait a year+ for NHS treatment, roads resemble the surface of the Moon and pensioners choose between heating and eating.
Standing with Ukraine is one thing. Standing on the British public while you do it is another. Priorities, Ed.
