🚌 Bus drivers can have to go hours without access to a toilet; forced to hold it in or use bottles or hedges. Unite bus workers have been campaigning for years for access to clean lockable toilets and hand washing facilities. This is another huge win for the capital's bus drivers. Authorities and operators across the UK and Ireland must now follow suit

Sadiq Khan seemed quite excited to tell us that his planned new state-owned bus company will specify only British buses. Something that would be illegal if we were in the EU: is he turning into a Brexiteer?

You know Tom, it's almost like I *already knew* back in June what the truth was, and worded my question to expose the Mayor's duplicitous nature! As you know perfectly well, loads of buses don't have AC but back in June the Mayor decided to pretend they did hoping to fob me off.

IMHO since this preventable KSI Bus Crash happened under PM's watch as @MayorofGM, his concern about @TfL Bus Safety Problems certainly justified, but maybe he should take a look at his own record? Any Systemic "Lesson's Learned" or just Blame the Driver? manchestereveningnews.co.uk/…

Correction: in August I said London bus drivers accidentally pressing the wrong pedal causes 2 crashes per month. It turns out it's 3. mylondon.news/news/transport…
I bet you £1 the cause turns out to be the driver stamping on the accelerator thinking it's the brake, known as pedal confusion. It's so common on London buses that there's a whole literature on it. Happens about 2x per month, usually at low speed, sometimes fatally.

Well done on a great piece. All Londoners should thank you for your work on London's bus safety scandal. In the end it will break into the open, like the Post Office scandal, and get fixed. You are bringing that day a bit closer.
