This isn't acceptable. Put a team of police officers there and fine them, and keep doing it for a few days. All this nonsense will largely stop.
Cyclists are continuing to ride along the newly pedestrianised section of Oxford Street, despite being asked to dismount.
Around seven security staff have been stationed near Oxford Circus, calling out to cyclists to get off their bikes, with mixed success.

An 'emotional' farewell to Oxford Street's buses.
Passengers on board the last bus to travel down the famous shopping street have been sharing their thoughts on the historic journey.
Almost a kilometre of Oxford Street is now traffic-free, with buses diverted onto surrounding roads.

I've always believed Oxford Street could be so much more than a road.
Today we begin a new chapter as the nation’s high street goes traffic free, creating a place where people can spend time, enjoy the atmosphere and experience the very best of our city.
