ALT Jewish, Muslim, and Progressive Organizations Call for Haley Stevens' Expulsion from House Democratic Caucus Congresswoman Haley Stevens has betrayed the Democratic Party, her constituents and working families across Michigan in pulling a last-minute stunt in an attempt to sabotage the Democratic nominee for United States Senate, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, by endorsing his Republican MAGA-backed opponent, Mike Rogers in the final hours of a critical election that will decide the balance of power in the U.S. Senate. As national organizations representing Jewish, Muslim, and Democratic voters opposed to Donald Trump's war on Iran, which is responsible for the rising costs of gas and groceries and an affordability crisis that is taking a heavy toll on working families at a time when the future of our democracy is at stake, we call on House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries to expel Congresswoman Stevens from the Democratic Caucus and strip her of her committee assignments.

It appears that no one actually read Haley Stevens's ransom note to @AbdulElSayed. It did not just say, denounce the Rebellion PAC ad and we're good. She also distorts his words and demands Abdul apologize for saying the war with Iran is the reason for inflation.
This isn’t about Haley Stevens. It’s about the basic question she raised: Why won’t El-Sayed just condemn the Jew-hating ad?
News flash: You can be for lower costs and stand up to hate at the same time.

Representative Haley Stevens is a courageous leader who deserves the respect of every Michigan voter. She has conducted herself with nothing but class since the Democratic primary, a primary where a majority of voters did not vote for her party’s nominee.
She was absolutely right to call on Abdul El-Sayed to denounce the Rebellion PAC ad and she was right to call on him to apologize for espousing the same hateful ideology behind it.
Representative Stevens’ statement expressed a hope that Abdul El-Sayed “had heard the deep concerns of the Jewish Community.” It is as shameful as it is disappointing that his response to her clearly shows that he does not care about those concerns.
In her statement, the Congresswoman says, “ the Jewish and African-American communities of my district deserve to have someone show up for them, rather than fight over them.”
I agree with her and my campaign is about being there, showing up and defending these communities and all Michiganders.

An epic statement demanding a fellow Dem candidate that has nothing to do with an ad that isn’t racist disavow and condemn the ad, and totally ignored the endless actual racist abuse the candidate has had to endure.
Does Stevens condemn Cruz saying AES joining the Intel Cttee would lead to American deaths? Does Stevens condemn Trump for saying AES should go through metal detectors? Does she condemn Mike Rogers, who her fiance is backing, for saying AES is a terrorist? Nope. Not a word in here about any of that.

Part of our campaign's focus was urging federal candidates and Democratic Members of Congress to sign a pledge rejecting AIPAC endorsements and contributions & to ensure we made AIPAC as *toxic* as the NRA in the Democratic Party.
