The Levy study looked at 1,470,100 Floridians over 12 months who received either the Moderna or the pfizer vaccine. It compared the incidence of cardiovascular deaths among both groups to see if one was associated with more or less cardiovascular death than the other.
The vaccine with more mRNA (Moderna) was associated with fewer cardiovascular deaths, fewer covid deaths, and fewer deaths from all causes than the vaccine with less mRNA (Pfizer).
Overall, for both vaccines, the incidence of cardiovascular death was lower than what was observed in 2018, pre-Covid.
The actual numbers of cardiovascular deaths were typical and unsurprising. For example, in the 40-49 year old groups, there were 41 cardiovascular (CV) deaths total during the 12 month period. In the 18-39 year old cohort, there were only 11 CV deaths. Nothing extraordinary.
It is evident from the graph that CV death and Covid death increased lineraly with age which is also completely expected.
The second graph compares these CV deaths to a constructed 2018 baseline that uses the same CV death criteria (ICD 10 codes from CDC Wonder: I00-I09, I11, I13, I20-I51) that the study used. The biggest flaw of this study was the lack of a comparative pre-covid baseline so I created one.
Bottom line: Covid vaccination was not associated with a higher than expected number of cardiovascular deaths in any age group and the vaccine with significantly more mRNA was associated with a significantly lower incidence of death from cardiac causes, from covid, and from all causes which was especially evident in the older groups.
The hypothesized reason for this is that the higher dose of mRNA provided better protection against severe covid, especially in the immunosenescent groups (the older people with weaker immune systems due to thymic involution among other things) and, as severe covid is highly associated with cardiovascular mortality (e.g. heart attacks), the individuals were better protected against covid associated CV mortality.

UnitedHealth’s profits soared even as revenue fell, medical spending dropped $3 billion, and the company covered nearly 2.5 million FEWER people.
Meanwhile, it's shrinking provider networks, cutting benefits and pulling out of communities it no longer finds profitable.
And Wall Street cheered.

Tracing 238 antivax claims to their origins.
A thread 🧵 that lays out where they came from, who pushed them, how they spread, and how they became one interconnected narrative.
Please share it. Especially with the followers of the people who built and amplified these claims.
They deserve to see the full pattern, not just the claim they were sold.

Did they die of Measles or with Measles? For instance, if someone has a heart attack and tests positive for measles, it was the heart attack that killed them and not measles. This was something we learned all too well in Covid when people with Covid even not symptomatic were counted in the death numbers but they died of something else.

Japan keeps coming up, so here's what actually happened there.
Japan pulled its MMR in 1993 over a real safety problem. The Japanese mumps strain, Urabe, caused aseptic meningitis. The American MMR has never used that strain. The data indicted one strain, not the idea of combining vaccines.
Japan then switched to a measles-only shot and a rubella-only shot, and dropped mumps from the routine schedule. No country has ever come closer to what this executive order proposes.
CDC documented what followed. By 2000, first-dose measles coverage was 78 percent. The 2001 epidemic caused ~265,000 cases in children under 15 alone. A second epidemic in 2007 & 2008 hit all 47 prefectures and exported measles into the US and Canada.
Japan recombined in 2006 with a 2-dose measles-rubella vaccine and needed a 5-year national catch-up campaign to dig out. Mumps never returned to the routine schedule. Japanese kids still lose their hearing to mumps.
Three months ago, Japan approved its first MMR in three decades.
The one country that tried separate shots spent the next fifteen years undoing it.

Then you are an idiot who has not heard of Japan, which does not offer the MMR based on safety data.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Japan withdrew its MMR vaccine in 1993 due to aseptic meningitis from a specific mumps strain (Urabe) not used in US MMR, not the combination; it approved a new MMR vaccine in May 2026. cidrap.umn.edu/childhood-vacc… mainichi.jp/english/articl…
