The Witch Head Nebula 🧙♀️
My latest image of the ghostly Witch Head was taken early this year using my 'travel-friendly' setup in Key West, Florida!
The Witch Head Nebula (IC 2118) is a reflection nebula believed to be an ancient supernova remnant or gas cloud illuminated by nearby supergiant star Rigel.
While Rigel is the brightest star in Orion, the nebula actually lies just outside the constellation, in Eridanus (who knew!?)
