The maxpreps mixed with the open is yielding some interesting issues xitter.cf/AZchilly/status/211372…

Here is that crackerjack and coveted 6A championship crew... Everyone deserves a trophy. I mean... when you can be 1-6 and still have a shot... that is really saying something. The 6A championship should be called the toilet bowl.

I bet this maxpreps rankings thing gets thrown into the wood chipper next year. Or at least they need put it to vote with all the FB HC's ... not just The Committee

now that you made me look. Yeah, for 'those people' saying the new Algorithm awards good losses/S.O.S. too much .... that didn't pay off here. But really, only 'close' game was veritas. The other 4 games w/ high ranked opponents were all 3 score (or more) losses.

They got better no no doubt, but this mostly a schedule thing. 6 wins were against really bad teams. Globe(7th win) was prob their most impressive win. Lincoln in young, only 2 seniors, lots of 9/10's.

DS would have to leapfrog Lincoln. DS currently #25 and beat a lower ranked SanPasq#38. That wont help at all. Lincoln 7-3 #24 and just beat Globe#22 by a good margin

you could also drop a little by sitting on your hands tho. I doubt any coach would do that

TC is 15 / Pinion is 34 That would be a wild scenario. If Holbrook(#33) beats Alchesay will win a spot, the #24 spot turns into one those "Unlucky 24's" right? Would only have to drop 9 spots to get knocked out.

Just play Friday, right? TC sitting at #15, cancelling on Pinon at #34. "Better sit this one out" Is it possible to drop from 15 to 24 in one night/cycle? Maybe if they lost and their previous opponents lose also.

I'd figure I'd post the screenshots so we all would have a reference later .... for when this comes up again. It'd be nice if the AIA/MaxPreps explained a thing or two on this subjec t to keep scores down, and 1st stringers off the field at the 2nd half kickoff of a 50-0 game

check this out, 2015 there was none what so ever (unless there was a seperate web page for football, but I doubt that) The AIA Exec Board really taking the high ground with that sportsmanship talk in that last sentence.

That was the old "rankings/FAQ" page; if you click on that now it only mentions FLAG football. We still don't know (currently) how it works exactly w/ maxpreps ... how the diminishing-returns works scale w/ regards high margin of victories.

Now do the US Navy. US had 33 fleet and light aircraft carriers, and another EIGHTY something escort carriers in the war. I don't think USSR or Germany had even 1. US had built/put into action about 500 destroyers.
